Noob_Noobersson
Along time ago, when the NES was all the rage, I had a bunch of games---but one of them in particular never got played after the first time I played it....It was called "Spelunker," and that was what is was about---Spelunking. The part that made it so bad is that seemingly everything killed you. For instance. If there was a ledge that you had to jump off of, then you had to jump at just the right moment. If you tried to run off it, or even walk off it, you died. And it didn't matter how big or small a drop it was. It was the worst game EVER!!! Spelunker wiki Gawd Awful!!!!! Mati
Definitely the worst was Assassins Creed. *waits for flame war* ...for the DS. What a piece of crap, it destroyed the fun behind AC. Returned it 5 minutes after playing. Edited April 17, 2011 by mati1501

WF the Hobgoblin
I can't be bothered trying to think of the worst I ever bought, but for this generation of games, I'd say Bioshock. Plot / setting was intriguing and the graphics were real nice but other than freezing splicers, the gameplay was sh*t.

Plot / setting was intriguing and the graphics were real nice but other than freezing splicers, the gameplay was sh*t. Could be the reason that the game hasn't been played for a while by me now. I bought it after reading all the hype and everything for it, but then when it comes to the actual gameplay, it bores me. I see what you did there. Congrats. El Digato
Most games nowadays are crappy. The graphics may be great, but it's still the same bullsh*t. Shoot down enemies, travel a bit, *Insert cutscene*, repeat. Most RPGs are usually the same, too. I don't know how people loved Bioshock 1/2 so much. I decided to buy Bioshock 2 to see what the hype was about. What a waste of money. I also regret buying Fable 3.

agent17
SPORE. f*ckING SPORE. I hate spore with all of my being. It was one of the greatest video game disappointments in history. The concept behind the game was spectacular, Maxis planned on doing amazing and groundbreaking things with this game. The E3 demo in 2006 shows how remarkable the game could potentially be. Unfortunately most people looked at that, and expected the game to be just like it, full of nonlinear gameplay and infinite creative potential. Of course the game was not like this in the end, EA had to intervene. The game was completely changed and the gameplay was rebuild from the ground up under most people's noses. It was only when people bought the game did they realize what a steaming pile of sh*t it was. EA had ripped the life from this game. The game was plagued with excessive DRM and legitimate buyers were restricted to only a few install validations before the game was rendered useless. As a result Spore became the most pirated of its time, not because the game was good or because people wanted it, but as a protest to the ridiculous way legitimate buyers were being treated. Which ultimately promoted piracy, rather than help deter it. The game itself was plagued with glitches making the game almost unplayable for many people, regardless of how good their computer was. Many of these glitches would never be patched, requiring workarounds... which often meant reinstalling you game, using one of your serial key validations. The gameplay was flawed and restrictive. You were faced with so many restrictions while building your creatures that making anything decent-looking was a task that only a few creature-creating prodigies were able to accomplish. Everything else turned out like blobs of clay with two legs and eyes attached to them. Not to mention the complexity limit was so restrictive that placing just a handful of details on your creature would max it out, providing you didn't run out of DNA points first. (Which were very few). The creativity driving this game was severely diminished. The rest of the game is based around broken gameplay mechanics which don't work properly, and the space stage offers very little to the game, in fact it is about as fun as discussing politics. I could go on forever about how disappointed I am with this game, but I will tell you this much... I was so disappointed by the game than I incinerated it in a pit of fire. The game was unworthy of life, and the world would be a better place without it. Perhaps one day the concept will reawaken and erupt into a thing of beauty, but until that day comes it is best we just forget the game ever existed. Girish
Lord of the Rings. Looking back, I feel ashamed of myself for having bought it. Since I was short of cash back in '03, me and one of my friends contributed Rs.600 each to get it. The worst part was that it didn't even run on my PC (couldn't get past installation) and the next day, my friend called me up to tell me that he finished the game already! Rs.1200 for a game that didn't even install on my system and took less than a day to get through. Talk about a bloody good waste of money... :-/

gta_king
SPORE. Probably not the worst game I've ever bought but definitely agree with you on it being one of the most disappointing games I've ever played. cidamelo
Hi friends! I like Spore, but I've to admit that EA Games completely disrespect their costumers! I have A LOT of games from EA Games, and most of them give me problems!!! And their technical assistance is TERRIBLE! My Spore is FULL of glitches, and this Securom thing is messed up!!!! And EVERYTIME I try to install my The Sims, I have "Cyclic Redundancy Check" Error, in a CD with no scratches and dirty! I said it to EA Games, and they said the problem is with my driver!!! WHY MY DRIVER CAN READ ALL THE DVDS AND CDS EXCEPT FOR THE SIMS OR SPORE?? This is ridiculous!! I hate it!! I had to use a crack to run my original games!!!! This is ridiculous!!! EA GAMES DOESN'T RESPECT!!
agent17
Too make matters worse............................................................................. Galactic Adventures didn't help in the slightest. Good luck finding a good created adventure that wasn't done by Maxis. I feel stupid for buying it. The concept was so promising but the execution was flawed beyond words. I stupidly got this expansion too, hoping that it would add enough to the game to make it interesting, or at least fix the Space stage. Unfortunately I never even got to try the expansion, as it turns out because I waited a few months to buy it there were numerous patches before hand. Apparently install certain sh*t and patching certain sh*t in certain orders breaks the game. When I began playing I immediately noticed the creature animations were glitched and stop existing. This was soon followed by catastrophic glitches which made the game unplayable. I immediately returned the game after trying different combinations of re-installations and patching. It was apparent that the game would never work for me. Oh well, from what I heard most of the Adventures fail and are glitchy, and the expansion adds very little to the actual game itself. Such a shame... it had so much potential. Apparently they are working on a new MMORPG called Darkspore, which is set to release this month. I looked around on their website and their forums are pitifully inactive. I feel bad for the creators of this game, they should have just gave up on the game years ago. Even though there isn't a monthly fee for this MMO it is doomed from the start.
Girish
was that game the two towers?I LOVE THAT GAME. It is a lot of fun. Don't quite remember, but a game that can be finished in under a day is not worth buying IMO. To make matters worse, I chose TLOR over No One Lives Forever and NOLF is a f*cking awesome game. I got the collector's edition later on and loved both games.
The Killa
I regret buying New Vegas, honestly. It isn't able to immerse me and suck me into the game as much as Fallout 3 did. So many little bugs take away from the experience, it didn't have that feel to it, at all.
TommyMufc-Champs
I agree with The Killa. New Vegas was a massive letdown, way too many bugs.
