hebekie
This is what i posted in (whats your story about the forums) It includes the DYOM part and how i knew it. In beggining 2010 i really tought f*ck it after 2 years of trying to mod gta sa im stoping . Then i when to my aunt and she is more like the epic aunt she plays resident evil and silent hill and works on computer and stuff. So she helped me whit modding , finnaly i had 1 gun mod installed (hoeray) but it didnt work and the texture whas completly white. So i downloaded an other mod and it worked perfect!I whas f*cking happy , but i needed more mods so i started to search mods . One day i searched for a mission maker and found DYOM i installed v1 because it worked whitout cleo3 . But then i realised i had to have cleo3 for later versions so after like 2 days of trying to understand cleo3 and why it crahsed i found gta sa compact exe. YEY cleo3 works now lets play DYOM.After wandering around a lot on the real DYOM site i saw support forum and i tought wauw what's this so i made an account and my first topic whas : ideas for dyom . since then i whas like just looking at the forums not caring what whas happeing after leaving for 5 months i came back and made new missions poeple where nice on the dyom section and i had no problems , then after laeving for 5 months again i came back and realised how much spam there whas and banned members since then the forums piss me off a lot. well thats it HOW DID YOU finde out about DYOM? Uros12
I found DYOM much earlier than you-somewhere in 2008.I was already modding my San Andreas,I even created some skins(gangs from my neighborhood).I was wondering how can you make your own storyline in San Andreas and make missions, and that is how I find out about DYOM.However then it was in its early stages,so it was not interesting to me so much.I stopped modding in first months of 2009,when everything became little boring for me.But then,I had a few ideas about making my own storyline and missions,so I tried to learn SCM coding, but I was not very successful. So I get back into DYOM forums in the summer 2010,and to be honest I am impressed how much is this popular. In the beginning I thought it doesnt have such good community which makes missions better and better. And thats how I found out about DYOM. Kratos2000
Hmm. I've always looked for the creation mods, I was just lost in the internet since nothing worked. First I went to all these games that feature an Editor, like "Serious Sam" which was my first try. then I exchanged to modelling, Zbrush.. it didn't work, I had no clue how to make it work. Next I tried terrain sculpting, I dumped it in a few hours. Then, few months before I registered, in my final resource, just a minute before I was planning to finally dump the whole thing I found this amazing mod, completly by a mistake. Now I kinda let it go abit, and started using the Crysis editor (Sandbox 2)
simi10
I was looking for some cool cleo mods in ********.com and I saw Design your own mission mod v5. I didn't download it. But later I decided to check it out. I downloaded it and watched some tutorials and I started to make and play other people missions.
Chimpsie
Well,At the beginning I was a simple modeler but then after searching on the net I randomly found DYOM,it think it was version 4 or something,so,my internet went down and I was without it for like a year and a half, maybe less, and I was making missions so I dont get bored, while I did that I also developed my interests in DYOM and If i can say I'm pretty good at it and I did some neat missions. guedaum
I sign GTAForums notifications when someone posts something later than I've posted. I receive an e-mail telling me that someone posted something about DYOM. I have a question: why should I download all 8 slots of a single "episode"? Doesn't one slot solve it?
