Before I start I read a lot of tutorials and I have a lot of doubts hopefully i post them to get answers. Why doesn't vc and gta3 allow certain map files to be deleted? Is it possible to remove ide and col files while map cleaning with ipl files? How do I convert gta3 and sa cars to vc? I can make vehicles for sa but when i tried to use 1 sa vehicle on vc it crashes and same when i try vc vehicles in gta3. Do they require conversion? How to convert them. I only know to make sa vehicles. What files control headlight effects in vc? Where are vc map col files located? And lastly how can i convert maps from sa to vc? For Vice City, Use IDE Killer 2...That will remove the whole map and leave a blank Canvas with water. Replace the Script with a stripped one too (Included with IDE Killer Download) - How do I convert gta3 and sa cars to vc? Yes you have to convert them, the main program used is 3D Max and Zmodeller 2...I'm not certain on all the details though but I have a video tutorial somewhere to convert cars from gta 3/vc to sa... Basically just import a Vice City car and match up the names and dummys with the gtaIII or Vice City car.. - Where are vc map col files located? In the same folder as their IDE/IPL in Data > Maps. - And lastly how can i convert maps from sa to vc? You have to convert each part of the map, import the DFF into 3D Max and using Kams GTA Script, choose skip col, and select Vice city as the export type and click export. For the Txd, just open it up in TXD Workshopand change the version to Which ever GTA you want. And Finally for the col, Open it up in Coll Editor 2, and got to Tools > Batch conversion and I think it's Col type 1 for Vice city, Generate lighting and optimize.
