jaky2008 Posted March 26, 2011 Share Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Alright, If I can, i'm going to convert the Manhunt files from each individual Manhunt level and squash them together (in chronoligical order according to my multiple playthroughs of Manhunt) into a large roamable city. Now, I've already tried MANY .bsp importers/viewers (the files that contain Manhunt maps - Binary Space Partition File) but I have not yet succeeded, so thats why I created this topic, to ask for much needed assistance. I've done alot of "research" but it seems the .bsp compatible programmes were created only in mind for Half Life 2 and Quake and it's proving real difficult to find any chance of hope. I do know, however, that it is POSSIBLE! There is a mod already released with areas from Manhunt in it, it seems totally irrelivant to the mod's name though (Criminal Russia), but yet again something has to prevent me, the modders or people involved seem ignore me, along with everyone else, this is most likely because of the reason they might not speak English!. Here is a video link to Youtube showing the map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLnB7C4tHGc And here are the problems I have faced, or atleast programmes I've tried already: Programme Issue(s) RW Analyze When I attempt to import a .dff extracted from a Manhunt scene using KAMS scripts in 3ds Max 2010 I get an error message saying "Not a Void DFF File!" BSP Viewer When attempting to open a Manhunt map it says something along the lines of "Not a Half Life 2 Map" BSP Factory - BSP Map Compiler - GCFScape - winbspc "Unknown .bsp format" somersbsp "Unexpected file format" globe_3d_08_aug_2010 I have no idea how to even work this thing! * - Alright, so I need help from you pleasent individuals on the GTAF I'm not sucking up in anyway, not at all Anything would be appreciated, maybe one of you will go to the extreme and create a tool yourself! Now i'm wondering, shall I turn SanAndreas into a double of Manhunt (a snuff film and even the same missions in general) or a free roam mod with no plot? (I think that is better) If I was to make a double of Manhunt I already have the Manhunt video files (RAD Video Tools) so it could play them. Also if it is free roam should it have Cash as the main character or CJ? Anyhow I'll stick to actually converting the map first then see where it goes from there! BTW "not a void file" means it is a valid file. (post 1) Don't even think about *****ing at me for telling you off. The rules are rules. Conversion, Ripping or Dump models from other games are not allowed as an open discussion, nor a thread on how to RIP/CONVERT, or the tools, neither links, we are not a WAREZ/TORRENT/FILESHARING NETWORK, if you like to know on how to do it, use goggle, and check for the rules topic. So incase this does suddenly go can anyone actually help me with accessing the .bsp's? Also I know that conversions aren't allowed, but seriously is there anywhere else to post? like a forum that actually gets responses? no . Thats why I created this, I don't see why people don't understand this, yeah I was suprised, suprised to find nothing Anyhow can anyone out there help!? And to wrap up this arguement with fireboy; fanboys of Manhunt won't rip this thread apart, if they are true fanboys they would love this mod to progress. I'm sorry if you wanted this to succeed but at this rate it cant, its too difficult for me, a unexperienced modder and i'd need taught how to do this. Even more my SA doesn't work anymore! Anyone else can try but its unlikely they'll get to far unless they are russian (Russians are the only good map modders) If you do want to access the map in someway download 3d Ripper X, from there you can capture scenes from a game and save them so they can be imported into 3ds Max, however from there im not to sure and also I couldn't succesfully play SA when the map was cleaned, even with additional objects so there would be no way to test it...
