British food is awful, anything would be better.

Americans gave us Buffalo Wings, Americanized Pizza and McDonalds, and rather than bitch about obesity I'll just say thank you.

British food is actually good and is unfairly underrated. When I think of british food such foods include shepherd's pie, mince pies (commonly consumed at Christmas) and Roast Dinners (often referred to as Sunday roast) which includes food such as roast beef, roast potatoes, vegetables, gravy and yorkshire puddings. All dishes are delicious and tasty and MUST be tried. Of course in this day and age, we've grown to become a multicultural society and curry is the number one dish here - and being Asian, I love curry.

When I think of American food, I think of McDonalds, and I haven't been to one of those disgusting fast food places in 15 years. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out why so many of them are so fat and obese. When I was there, there was pretty much a McD on every one or two 'blocks' as they say. The food there was pretty mediocre and while I respect other peoples choices that they may like it, it was well below my standards. When I was in New York there's this stupid obsession with bagels, and those taste like crap. I remember taking my first bite and then spitting it out and throwing the bagel away, 'do these people know what good food is!? I think not!'

Of course, Indian food is the best by miles (unless you cannot cope with the spices!).

edit: Chinese food is my second favourite. Love it!!

Oh, f*ck off back under yor rock. You can't start a thread like this, post some pretty vitriolic attacks on other posters , dig yourself into a massive hole and then come back in pretending everyones forgotten what a cock you've been.

For what it's worth, most British food isn't British anyway. It's been inherited from various other parts of Europe over the last millenium or so. Apart from the fry-up. But that's fattier than a weeks worth of McDonalds if done properly.

So because YOU don't like bagels. Clearly every all American food is sh*t? Different people have different taste in foods. I personally don't like Indian food but you don't see me clearly jumping to the conclusion that all Indian food must be sh*t if I don't like it. I know it's liked all over the world.

It's not about being accepted or saying things others agree or disagree with, its your entire attitude. You've taken this absurd and utterly illogical anti-American stance, and tried to justify it with the deluded ramblings of some lowest-common-denominator moron posting on f*cking MSN Help, and then you get all aggressive towards anyone who points out that you're talking crap.

You and Gareth Alan Willmer are f*cking made for each other. You're both anti-American Brits who post completely uninformed, vitriolic and non-sensical ramblings on the forums, personally attack other posters if they disagree with you and fail to see the irony that you are both just as bad, if not worse, than that which you mock or attack.

And to cap it all off you ignore 3 pages worth of discussion calling your bluff regarding your first post to interject with some bullsh*t about the roast being a British meal, which it's not, how Yorkshire Puddings are amazing (which is as well as may be, but they're not British) and how McDonalds and bagels are sh*t because you personally don't like them. And then you top it all off by calling everyone fat and swearing at me a bit.

You are pathetic. If you are representative of the caliber of human being who inhabits the United Kingdom, it's fair to say, we're all f*cked.

1. 'anti-american' - why is it that anyone who dares to criticise usa is automatically considered 'anti-american', like its a crime? are they excempt from criticism or something? where's it written, tell me. i'm not ashamed to be myself and unlike you, i'm not going to kiss those bastards arses to be accepted. i don't like them and i have my reasons. and believe it or not, there are americans that feel the same about us, yet people like you are too f*cking gutless to stand up to them.

2. who the f*cking hell is gareth alan wilmer?

3. getting aggressive and attacking other people? what the f*ck have you been doing? just reading your last post you've used the f word four times. so shut up about swearing and using bad language to others when you've also been using it yourself.

4. roast isn't a british meal? i bet you hang around too much with the yanks and think that f*cking crumpets is the #1 food here. name me a tv show that typically reflects this - eastenders? emmerdale? wait, you probably havent heard of those tv programmes either just because some fat yank havent heard of them either.

5. worse than what i'm attacking? i like to think i'm better. i don't like committing friendly fires on allies and not taking responsibility for it, causing mass genocide, polluting countries like ecuador and taking no responsibility for it, bitch about oil spills and not calling the kettle black when it comes to bhopal (and again, not taking responsibility for it), mindless flagwaving, and instead of seeing us as allies, still bang on about some stupid f*cking war that happened if not last century, then two or more before that.

no mate. YOU are pathetic. and weak. and typical of the uk today in not having the balls to stand up to others. abit like cameron to obama and blair/brown to war criminal bush. i've f*cking had enough of them and am taking no more sh*t from them.

First things first, I'm not your "mate".

1. 'anti-american' - why is it that anyone who dares to criticise usa is automatically considered 'anti-american', like its a crime? i'm not ashamed to be myself and unlike you, i'm not going to kiss those bastards arses to be accepted. i don't like them and i have my reasons. and believe it or not, there are americans that feel the same about us, yet people like you are too f*cking gutless to stand up to them.

Had you presented a sensible and reasoned argument, I don't think anyone would have had a problem with your opinion. The fact that you try to justify it with the links that you did- that are quite clearly someone trolling or someone utterly mental- and then claim to use that as an accurate representation of the United States as a whole, is what I have an issue with. As far as I can see, there are two choices- either you aren't intelligent enough to see them for what they are, or you already have such a strong, in-built hatred of Americans that anything, no matter how trivial or how ironic, is ammunition for you.

2. who the f*cking hell is gareth alan wilmer?

He's an intermittent poster and "professional video blogger" who occasionally crops up- rather like a mild dose of herpes, he's not that bad in the grand scheme of things, but comes around when you least expect (or want) him and forces everyone do deal with his slight discomfort for an hour or to before disappearing back to whence he came. Like you, he's fervently anti-American; like you, his posts are littered with spelling and grammatical mistakes and like you he always fails to substantiate his points with any kind of evident to support his wild accusations.

3. getting aggressive and attacking other people? what the f*ck have you been doing? just reading your last post you've used the f word four times. so shut up about swearing and using bad language to others when you've also been using it yourself.

I told you to crawl back under a rock, indicated that you were uninformed and pathetic, and that if you were a representation of the British people we were all screwed. None are really direct insults or offense aimed at you, more suggestions of courses of action to take and indications of my personal view of you. Additionally, all of my profanity has been emphasising points, rather than directed as an insult.

4. roast isn't a british meal? i bet you hang around too much with the yanks and think that f*cking crumpets is the #1 food here. name me a tv show that typically reflects this - eastenders? emmerdale? wait, you probably havent heard of those tv programmes either just because some fat yank havent heard of them either.

...And here we go again. According to you, if something isn't British, it must be American. The roast as we know it today is derived from Viking meals and the "Yorkshire" pudding is French in its origin (being derived from a pancake). No, the number one food in the UK is Chicken Tikka Masala, which, oddly is a true British dish- despite being derived from Indian cuisine, it originated in the UK. Please, look at the flag below my icon to see my nation of birth. Whatsmore, Eastenders and Emmerdale are about as representative of British life as suicide bombings are of your average Muslim.

5. worse than what i'm attacking? i like to think i'm better. i don't like committing friendly fires on allies and not taking responsibility for it, causing mass genocide, polluting countries like ecuador and taking no responsibility for it, bitch about oil spills and not calling the kettle black when it comes to bhopal (and again, and not taking responsibility for it), mindless flagwaving, and instead of seeing us as allies, still bang on about some stupid f*cking war that happened if not last century, then two or more before that.

I'm going to break this down into multiple points for clarity.

1) Friendly fire incidents happen. If you are referring to the incidents recently in Iraq and Afghanistan, the UK has committed a significant number too, as have other NATO powers. The idea of friendly fire isn't new; it's existed since the very birth of warfare. It's also an occupational hazard when one is fighting under the "fog of war".

2) Please give an example of the US committing genocide. By example, I mean an instance where an international or national criminal court has successfully accused or prosecuted a member of the US political or military hierarchy for genocide.

3) The US isn’t the only nation whose dumped toxic and radioactive waste on foreign soil. Europe, Russia and China are also guilty of doing the same.

4) Bhopal did not result in an oil spill. Anyway, how does the behaviour of the Indian subsidiary of a US company have anything to do with the average American? That makes as much sense as saying all Muslims are terrorists. It's also not the responsibility of the US government. Activities of multinational corporations /= activities of a government.

5) I can't remember the last time I heard an American refer to the War of Independence in anything other than jest. The same way that Brits refer to Agincourt in jest to the French.

no mate. YOU are pathetic. and weak. and typical of the uk today in not having the balls to stand up to others. abit like cameron to obama and blair/brown to war criminal bush.

What a strange analogy you make- especially in reference to Cameron/Obama. As far as I can see it, Obama is about the most indecisive leader the US has had in living memory- look at Libya- it was British and French pressure that caused him to commit militarily, not vice versa. I hardly think I'm typical of the UK population.

In leu of anything else to say, might I refer to you Arkell Vs. Pressdram (1971)*. If you wish to discuss further, please do so via PM so no-one else has to be subjected to your drivel.

sivispacem, you talk a load of sh*t.

mass genocide, example - nuking japan. thousands of people/kids/families wiped out. thats f*cking disgusting. if they wanted to reply to pearl harbour, aim at the military, not civilians. the same can be said for the death and destruction they're causing in the middle east right now. theres a reason why war criminal bush had the shoe thrown at him. you're just too thick to see it.

and bhopal? i can't believe you cannot see the double standards here it appears the USA can go to any country and ruin people's lives and when it happens there it is a different story. i think the BP disaster will be a benchmark from now on and other countries will demand the same justice obama is getting from BP when american companies ruin their lives. they've never even begun to clear up that whole toxic mess they left behind - babies are still being born with birth defects to this day because of the effects of union carbide's toxic pollution of the area.

25,000 people were killed. thats surely a form of mass genocide in itself. or are you going to find excuses for this also?

its utterly unfathomable how americans can rail against BP whilst this is still going on. america is the most hypocritical nation on earth. now that may be something you like, but i don't ever want to be associated with that disgusting country ever again. and these are just some reasons. note i haven't even started yet on chevron and ecuador.

i guess you also want to rationalise the fairness of a blatent one-sided extradition treaty and the unfair treatment they're giving to bradley manning and what could happen also to gary mckinnon and julian assange (who represents truth and free speech better than what any yank is ever capable of).

I would say keep it going on here, it's pretty funny watching some jumped up f*ckwit try to claim to be British, without being racist, he claims to be of Asian descent, but is stupidly 'patriotic'? kind of ironic form that point of view.

my only experience of Americans has been through XBL, which counts for nothing, because it's whiney little kids and fat nerds living in their mums attic; but not all of them have been complete arseholes.

on the subject of British food, can't beat a lush fry-up to cure a hangover, if there is a God, I would kiss him for bringing the meaty goodness of bacon to our planet.

Bush had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor and the war between Japan and the US. It was FDR, and we had a reason to attack Japan - Pearl Harbor. We wanted Japan to surrender, so we nuked them. What the f*ck were we gonna do, throw shoes at them? Japan constantly went at us. We weren't gonna let them do that, so we took revenge. I do think it's a bit over exaggerated, but it handled the f*cking job. It's done, get over it. Look at us now. We're helping Japan. We're sending supplies, medicine, food over towards the survivors of the Japan Earthquake, and you're here arguing about f*cking roast. Idiot.

You're basing your evidence from some f*cking troll on Yahoo Answers, and I can prove it. Just take a look at the first post.

And FYI, british people have some hypocritical characteristics towards Americans in general. Calling us fat pigs, McDonald enthusiasts, stupid americans, the list goes on.

And what makes you think America is the most hypocritical? Joe *Proud American-New Yorker*?

LOL, what a hypocrite. Next time an American calls England a sh*thole, you go and rant about it on a forum about a hit video game series.

Gives me a reason to laugh at you.

Lets throw it out to the board. Who else here thinks I'm talking a load of sh*t then?

the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong (which I'm not) but I don't quite see the connection between the above statement and US military actions during the Second World War, or for that matter in the Middle East. In the former case, despite all the contention surrounding the dropping of the bombs, their total casualty toll was significantly less than, for instance, the fire-bombing of Tokyo. There's still much debate about whether they were wholly necessary for the conclusion of the conflict, but the general consensus is that they saved more lives- both US and Japanese than they ended. Besides, the US had at least two, possibly three additional operational nuclear weapons at the end of the war. If their aim was genocide, then why drop them on two relatively small cities- why not hit Tokyo from the off- and why not use the remaining weapons?

As for the Middle East conflict, again, refer to the statement above. Have the US been systematically exterminating any of the mentioned groups? No. The vast majority of casualties in both Iraq and Afghanistan (around 90%) have been caused by the actions of the Taliban or various other insurgent groups. Besides, if the final aim was genocide, then why target two completely separate and culturally (and to some extent religiously) distinct nations in order to achieve it? Surely that contradicts the very principal of annihilating a single cultural or religious force?

and bhopal?  i can't believe you cannot see the double standards here it appears the USA can go to any country and ruin people's lives and when it happens there it is a different story. i think the BP disaster will be a benchmark from now on and other countries will demand the same justice obama is getting from BP when american companies ruin their lives. they've never even begun to clear up that whole toxic mess they left behind - babies are still being born with birth defects to this day because of the effects of union carbide's toxic pollution of the area.

How on earth can you compare BP and Bhopal? They were both industrial accidents...and that is where the comparisons end. The responsibilities of the US government- in fact, of any government, effectively end once you leave their territorial waters. The Gulf of Mexico oil spill occurred inside US jurisdiction; directly affected US jurisdiction. The same is not true of Bhopal. I am not in any way condoning the actions of Union Carbide India during the Bhopal disaster, but the fact of the matter is that the activities of multinational corporations outside of the US are not the concern- or within the jurisdiction- of the US government. If you look for someone governmental to blame for Bhopal, blame the crooked Indian administrative bodies that permitted UCIL to continue to operate at the Bhopal plant in the run-up to the disaster despite safety fears, in exchange for financial kick-backs.

Oh, check your figures too. Most accurate estimates suggest less than half of the "25000" figure you band about have been killed either directly or indirectly by the disaster.

It's also not genocide. See definition above.

Chevron in Ecuador is another example of multinational corporations operating outside of US jurisdiction. The US government is not responsible for the actions of company subsidiaries beyond the US borders. Why should it be? It's not their job to moderate mining in Chile or Uranium processing in Australia. It's the job of the government whose land the operations are being conducted on to monitor for any breach of health and safety or other legislation. The UK buys significant quantites of diamonds from DeBeers Group, a UK based company whose primary operating area is in Southern Africa. Is it the responsibility of the government to address concerns regarding workers rights or living conditions there? Is it f*ck.

i guess you also want to rationalise the fairness of a blatent one-sided extradition treaty and the unfair treatment they're giving to bradley manning and what could happen also to gary mckinnon and julian assange (who represents truth and free speech better than what any yank is ever capable of).

No, I don't agree with the extradition treaty as it currently stands.

You appear to have developed a significant number of delusions regarding the effectiveness and "stretch" of various governments around the world. You also don't appear to understand many of the concepts which you are banding about. If I was you, I'd stop reading so many conspiracy theories and focus on factual information.

my only experience of Americans has been through XBL, which counts for nothing, because it's whiney little kids and fat nerds living in their mums attic; but not all of them have been complete arseholes.

Don't even mention them. I swear, most of them are mentally retarded assholes.

Yeah, they probably believe astrologers are legitimate scientists too.

mass genocide, example - nuking japan. thousands of people/kids/families wiped out. thats f*cking disgusting. if they wanted to reply to pearl harbour, aim at the military, not civilians. the same can be said for the death and destruction they're causing in the middle east right now. theres a reason why war criminal bush had the shoe thrown at him. you're just too thick to see it.

Bush had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor and the war between Japan and the US. It was FDR, and we had a reason to attack Japan - Pearl Harbor.

Uh, WHAT?

I've just read through Nihilanth1982's posting history. Every post, literally every post, is about how much he hates the US.
