tubbs51
Yes the yearly EA Sports Hype machine is getting up to full speed for the next installment of the long running exclusive NFL video game, Madden NFL. And here is EA's Madden NFL 12 info release schedule: April 28 - Playbook #1: X-Books & Gameplay. April 28 - Playbook #2: Presentation. May 16 - Playbook #3: Franchise & Superstars. June 6 - Playbook #4: Dynamic Player Performance. June 20 - Playbook #5: Madden Ultimate Team. July 25 - Playbook #6: Online. I havent been pleased with what the franchise has done since they bought the exclusive rights to the NFL name and i'm a huge Franchise fan so i probably wont be paying much attention til May 16th. I'm not planning on buying it on the first day cause i want honest reviews from similar players as me. IGN and other major reviewers dont go in depth enough and just play it for a week and call it good.
trip
I'm with ya TUBBS. I still have the very first release of Madden(when it was mouse and keyboard only), and have every version since. It was actually Madden, not GTA IV that made me buy my xbox. If there are no major changes this year, I just may pass on it. Now, if they brought it back to PC things would be different. But really...you know the game has been the same for the past 5+ years now. At some point they are going to have to get away from the animation approach and start to actually use real physics. I think EA is just too scared to take the risk with one of their cash cow franchises. Rebel
Love Madden myself, only have 10 though since I thought 11 was way to expensive on release. Saying that though, was 11 really worth the money? I'll be looking at 12 for sure though and if its going to have a better animation on plays/hits then I'll really be interested.
trip
There is very little difference between 10 and 11. The biggest difference is they took away the sprint button. It will piss you off at first but eventually you realize it makes sense. It is a nice way to focus on the rest of the running features, like stiff arm, juke, hurdle, etc... Lately I have been addicted to superstar mode. It is pretty much the only way I play it now. If you try out superstar I highly recommend being a halfback. You'd think quarterback would be fun, but honestly, halfback is the way to go for the most fun and action. The best thing about superstar mode is you can play a whole season's worth of games in a few hours.
