danjodan
So , recently I have been replaying the first 3 crash bandicoot games with an emulator and I think they are seriously awsome.I have been thinking , because of all the HD trilogy's the PS3 is getting , Do you think Naughty Dog/Sony would ever release a HD trilogy of the first 3 games on PS3?They would deffo have enough money with the sucess of the uncharted series and ALOT of people would buy them. They could update all the character models and enviorments and put it in a good resolution,it would look amazing Would you like a HD trilogy of the crash games??I know I would. And sorry for my horrible english. Capricornus
Your english is fine man. Secondly, I would love to see a Crash Bandicoot HD trilogy on the PS3. It just sucks ass that Naughty Dog no longer owns the Crash Bandicoot series. I would hope that Nuaghty Dog, in the future, gets the rights back or whatever and reboot the series man. Good god what an awesome time I had back on the PS1 with those games.
SilentSeas
As much as I'd love to see a HD trilogy release, its not going to happen. The games are available on PSN anyway.

The Metal Gear Solid HD trilogy includes a HD version of the first game which was originally a PS1 title.I dont see why they couldnt release a HD trilogy of the crash games other than the copyright issues. mark-2007
The first three are the best, Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash are both quality though! I'd prefer Naughty Dog to stick to Uncharted for now though, but wouldn't mind a good revival of Crash Bandicoot. Sums up a lot of my PS1-playing youth. nixxio
Yeah seriously if there's gonna be a new crash bandicoot then hopefully it'll be made by naughty dog. But I doubt it will ever happen, it would be good though. Still play 1, 2 & 3 on my psp from time to time.
ptiko
Yeah seriously if there's gonna be a new crash bandicoot then hopefully it'll be made by naughty dog. I'm pretty sure they sold the rights to the series after CTR, so it wont happen. AND IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. I don't understand why bastard kids have to have HD remakes of everything. It would be easier and cheaper to buy an old PS1 and the games than it would be if it was on the f*cking PSN store. I replayed Crash bandicoot 2 last year, the old graphics give the game charm, shiny HD Textures wont make the gameplay any better.

Also, what's this about a MGS HD remake? Didn't they ALREADY remake the damn thing on the Gamecube? Are they gonna go at it AGAIN?!? Jesus Christ. I can probably understanding remaking the first one (even though it holds up VERY well to this day) since the characters didn't even have mouths, but it was already remade. Why a third time? I'd rather play the games as they were meant to be, rather then re-releasing them with 'shiny' smooth graphics and whatnot. It wouldn't cost that much to buy an original PSX and get the bandicoot games, or as stated already, just get them off the PSN. Is it only me that liked the new direction that the Crash games went? I never got a chance to play the PS2 ones really. The series moved onto the PS2 without me, so by the time I got a PS2 I was more into the GTA games. Now I like both. I did get a chance to lend Nitro Cart off someone, seemed decent but didn't have the same nostalgia effect as CTR.
Ash_735
Activision own the rights to Crash Bandicoot now and I'm sure they wouldn't allow it as Crash 1 - CTR are PlayStation exclusive, so rights wise it's a bit of a mess. Also, out of all the games in the past, the Crash Bandicoot trilogy has aged well, upscaling on PC just makes things a bit sharper and the models more refined, but that's it really. iAwsum
Ahh,Crash, that maniac, loved to play with him on my PSX and PS2. But I dont think Sony would go into much trouble with PS3,who knows! However,I hated the piece of sh*t called Twin Sanity for the PS2,its a piece of HARD ass!

Long Haired Freaky Guy
I was never a big fan of that Twinsanity game. Think I played it for an hour or two before turning it off and never going back to it. I loved the newer ones though, such as Crash Of The Titans and Mind Over Mutant. They made a wise decision to switch to 3D, and it definitely pulled off.
GTA 360
And what's wrong with the 360 and Wii? Can't we have a remake as well?
Long Haired Freaky Guy
This may be a n00b question, but what the hell; How come Crash was allowed to appear on different consoles, wasn't he the Playstation mascot?
Ash_735
This may be a n00b question, but what the hell; How come Crash was allowed to appear on different consoles, wasn't he the Playstation mascot? Back during the PS1 days, Crash Bandicoot was developed by Naughty Dog (a Sony First Party Studio). The games did brilliant and sold loads and were very loved by a generation, this earnt Crash Bandicoot the "Unofficial PlayStation Mascot" title. But wait, Unofficial? Yes, because Crash Bandicoot and it's characters were created under Universal Entertainment and the characters and IP were always there's to do what they want with, not Sony's or Naughty Dog's. So after Crash Team Racing (last game by Naughty Dog), Universal saw how popular Crash Bandicoot was and jacked up the development rights by, well, a f*ck load, at this point Naughty Dog had started working on a new game engine for the PS2, given the choices they faced, they'd be paying nearly three times as much to do another Crash Bandicoot game. After some thought, Naughty Dog declined the Crash Bandicoot IP Development and created a new franchise under Sony Entertainment, which became the Jak & Daxter series. Universal, after losing Naughty Dog simply treated Crash Bandicoot as a cash cow and kept selling the rights on to the highest bidder. Which currently, sits with Activision. As you have already noticed, other developers wern't sony First Party, so they wanted to get this brand out to as many consoles as possible, which is when Crash Bandicoot appeared on Xbox and GameCube with Crash Bandicoot 4, and of course, the series started to decline. I wouldn't say it's declined, but then again I already stated that I like the new direction so it's a biased comment. It took a new direction and went away from the roots, as many games have to do nowadays to keep up with the market. Then again, all it really did was zoom the character and widen the walls to make it feel 3D, yet you were always following one single route from start to finish. Interesting thing though, Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot 4 was essentially Jak & Daxter 1. They made it known that the next gen Crash Bandicoot would be free roam based, no Warp Rooms, that Cortex wouldn't return and a new enemy would be introduced for the second Trilogy (fits better with Crash Bandicoot 3's perfect ending where Cortex and Uka Uka were turned into Babies and left somewhere in time away from the rest of them. One slight thing that was carried over into the actual Crash Bandicoot 4 was the elementals, in Naughty Dogs version plans were for them to be the main villains or have an arc around that. This was carried over into Jak & Daxter where they became "Sages". So yeah, in a weird way, the actual Crash Bandicoot 4 was suppose to be a lot like how Jak & Daxter 1 ended up.
