dukee152
So today I was browsing and then as i was loading a page boom my modem gets locked and i cannot acess the internet unless i call them. So I called optimum they said that they shut my internet down because my network was being used to send out spam. They said to get a computer technician. Should I just do a norton scan on my computers or get a guy in.
leik oh em jeez!
Tell them you pay for your connection and you'll do whatever the f*ck you please with it. If they have any evidence that you're sending out spam, then they've breached your privacy.
uNi
Well that's a first, never heard of an ISP blocking an home connection for spamming before. Â Â

Blocking it for spam is BS.
Stinky12
I've had a few people who got their internet connection disconnected by their ISP due to this problem. So they bring the system to me and I ran my usual removers and found out it was infected sometimes required a reformat. After it's done, they take it back, call their ISP and they reconnect their internet.
dukee152
no they locked the connection they did not shut it down because someone hacked into one of my computers in my network and is sending spam out through it.
