ade2
via slashdot: Mike Dailly, part of the original GTA team at DMA Design, just posted scans of the original design documents for Grand Theft Auto, which were recently unearthed. It makes for interesting reading! After following the link, hit the "Newer" button to scroll through the "Race'n'Chase" documents in order. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikedailly/5548280212/ Note how children and animals are mentioned as possible pedestrians

DarrinPA
"Ultra 64" is listed as one of the platforms they were going to develop it for. Interesting... The aim of Race'N'Chase is to produce a fun, addictive, and fast multi-player car racing and crashing game.... It's just addictive as smoking, but it kills less people. Sorry, but I've killed over 15000 people on GTA IV, that's just my stats, and that's just GTA IV, you add up everyones stats for all the games and say there are less people than smoking. So from this we can say GTA was an 'accident' an accident that went incredibly well and made them allot of money, but an accident none the less.
