Bringing some of those sites back to WhoIs they're registered along time ago by Strong Inc. One even said that the ICANN Registrar was GODADDY.COM, INC. Wishful thinking, i say. The first set of websites were interesting and believable, but i'm not feeling this... We don't even know if the game takes place in a time period where there is internet access. I'm sure we'll see some official news about the next GTA this year, hopefully at E3 or sometime this summer. Can't understand why you peeps just cannot wait like everybody else, haha. I believe these relate to R* although grandtheftauto5.com was registered in 2003 according to the website, it's probably going to be in the upcoming game, or just in case they haven't figured out a name they register that as a precaution. I hope they say something in E3 although I think they'll only say something in 2012 and it'll only come out in Q4 2012... too soon to tell. The domains are: CashForDeadDreams.com, SixFigureTemps.com, StopPayingYourMortgage.net, HammersteinFaust.com, and LifeInvader.com. If they were indeed registered for GTA V's in-game Internet, then it suggests that the game is set in relatively modern times, since the World Wide Web only became popular in the mid-1990s. Some have speculated that CashForDeadDreams could be a parody of Cash4Gold (or Cash For Clunkers?), that HammersteinFaust is a parody of Goldman Sachs, and that LifeInvader is a parody of LifeLock, or even possibly Facebook Think we may hear something on the 10/11/12 of may then? So then if you look at the DNS IP it is 38.126.9.134. I decided to look at all the other websites hosted on that block. I went to http://www.robtex.com/ip/38.126.9.134.html So a list of website's load up if you go there. If you look at the WHOIS for most of them, they were registered long ago. It is possible they had a lot of this planned out in advance. I analyzed them to the best of my knowledge and maybe someone on here can contribute to this thread with their opinion. Edit: I messed up the thread description and wrote For GTAIV instead of For GTA V. If a mod can change that then that would be cool. The domains match with the GTA V now.
