SLRMC93
IF THERE IS A THREAD LIKE THIS OR IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG FORUM, PLEASE REMOVE, MOVE, LOCK, ETC. AND IF SO, I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE Okay, so to clear the air, you don't have to pick specific games, you can choose individual art styles that have been used in multiple games, such as cel shading, or pen and ink, but basically this forum is about the art styles that wowed you the most, or at its time was just different and used flawlessly. So for my list Auto modelista-used a great form of cel shading that still to this day, makes it stand out from other racers Crackdown-if the super human powers weren't enough to make this look like a comic book, the art style could change minds. XIII-Like stated above this game really made it feel like a comic book, by adding in even the little sound effect notations Comix zone-need I say more? E.A.B.
Okami Madworld (better looking comic book style game ) The Legend of Zelda:Windwaker Professor Layton Team Fortress 2 and when I first saw it, Street Fighter Alpha 3. I loved SFIII (all three iterations). Both the character sprites, and the actual character artwork. It was clean, crisp, and had better musculature than the 'everyone looks like zangief' style of IV
trip
Bad Mojo - Really captured the size perspective thing with wonderful art and color. Even though the game was released 15 years ago, I will forever remember the scene of riding on the butterfly. Wow! that sounds kind of gay , but still... Anyway, the artwork in that game was important, since we all know how the technology was back then. The concept and story alone where enough to make it stand out, but I have to believe it was that attention to detail in the artwork that made it a cult classic. Vextroid
I really like the western/desert/50's Army Recruitment style of Team Fortress 2.
