Slizor
Hey, are these settings below good? I'm not quite sure myself. The game itself runs fine, but it's the graphics I have my doubts on. I'm not an expert on this so please give me your opinion. PC Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Core i5 CPU (2.80GHz~ 4 CPUs) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 4GB RAM DirectX 11 Edited March 22, 2011 by Slizor
nastynacho
Damn Homie nice system Try 1280x1024 60hz I bet with your system it would would run prime But GTA 4 is a CPU fiend but with 4 cores you should be fine. You try the in game benchmark yet ? Also try 8x for both. Thread Optimization to ON Triple Buff = on power managemnet mode = to full power (no restrictions) Single GPU display. yoječ
Also turn off the antyalisaing, GTA4 doesn't support it anyway.
Slizor
Eh, I'm trying to edit my control panel settings but GTA IV is no longer on the list of games. When I try to add it to "1. Select a program to customize" it's just blank. What's wrong? As you can see there's no GTA IV, but GTA San Andreas. And I can't add it for some reason. Slizor
I seem to have major problems with my Anti Aliasing on GTA IV. What can I do to improve it? Look at this screenshot, I've circled significant examples in red > Resolution 1280x1024 And another question if anyone knows, why is everything so extremely small with other Aspect Ratios besides 4:3? Maybe this is just on my screen. Edited March 23, 2011 by Slizor

nastynacho
That's really good I would just start playing it now 60+FPS is great You can put View on 50 for a little more FPS but it isn't really worth it. Also put Render Quality = Highest Here is what I use StatisticsAverage FPS: 47.93Duration: 41.72 secCPU Usage: 88% <---- u use -20% CPU from your 4 core CPU :)System memory usage: 55%Video memory usage: 81%Graphics SettingsVideo Mode: 1280 x 1024 (60 Hz)Texture Quality: HighRender Quality: HighestView Distance: 40Detail Distance: 100HardwareMicrosoft Windows XP ProfessionalService Pack 3Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250Video Driver version: 260.99Audio Adapter: Realtek HD Audio outputIntel Pentium IV Dual Core 2 3.0 GHZ
Slizor
Ehm, not to be rude but I haven't been asking about my FPS. My fps is fine, but what about my Anti Aliasing? It's horrible, even with highest settings. What can I do to improve it? Thanks for your compliment about my hardware though. luceberg
Just play at a higher resolution like 1920x1200 helps with aliasing. Apart from that, just edit it out with your mind!..you wont notice unless you are looking for it.

However, you could try the ENB Mod www.enbdev.com

Slizor
Ok, thanks for warning me about the ENB mod, the last thing I want is my FPS to be reduced. Why the hell isn't AA supported? What am I supposed to do with my AA problem? It looks awful even with the highest resolution and all other settings on high.

Maybe this is just on my screen. What size is your monitor, you really should try and match the native resolution and aspect ratio of your monitor, other wise you'll end up with a stretched out of proportion image. If you have a 4:3 monitor, then choose a 4:3 resolution and leave aspect ratio to 4:3.
