Rockstar is a part of conspiracy, they want to keep as much eager fans as possible wasting their time on the internet, looking for some websites registered on IP addresses, that look similar to the satirical tone of GTA, but they are not related at all. Even if the next game were to be a new Vice City the chances of him returning are slim to none as aside from anything else it seems R* would rather have lesser known actors in lead roles. In some sessions he was so fired up and he was into it, but then sometimes it'd be like he was in some kind of a hole, and he was very dark and couldn't work. He's a pretty amazing guy, kind of an amazing actor. He made some comments later on through his agent, something like, "Hey, that game was so big I should have charged them more money," and I hate that kind of chat. It's so cheesy. Like he's saying, "Next time I'm really going to pin it to them." Well, how about we just killed off your character? There is no next time. That's how we handle that. I'll be honest, it's easier to work with someone who's keen and enthusiastic, and not been in hundreds of films. Sometimes you get a famous person in and they literally just read of the script, they want the cheque, and they want to go. I find that insulting and depressing. Man that took forever to find...He had been saying stuff about it back before LCS came out too, but I can't find anything that old on websites still. Even, EEEVEN if he has been chosen as the lead character's voice, RockStar would have had him under very strict orders not to say anything as they want to reveal details of their games on their own schedule...and would be mighty PO'ed if Mr. Gottfried had blurted it out himself before they were ready! For that reason only, I don't beleive it. Secondly, if you look at the GTA4 voice cast list, there were very few, if any recognizable names voicing characters. The only one I can think of off the top of my head was the mighty Omid Djallili (for those of you who don't know, he is a British-Iranian comic doing great things over on our side of the pond). The only recognisable names were the people hosting radio shows, such as Juliette Lewis and Iggy Pop. I reckon that RockStar are going to do something similar with GTA:NeXt's voice cast, meaning they will have 'unknowns' in the character roles and the 'celebs' as radio hosts...and if he IS in the game, Gilbert Gottfried would be perfect as a radio host IMO! It doesn't make an awful lot of sense from where I'm standing. GTA IV felt like San Andreas with updated graphics... Really? The change between San Andreas and IV was the biggest in the series since GTA went 3D, irrespective of the obvious graphical improvements. Its mistakes like this that will be the reason the GTA Franchise will die. Ill bet GTA 5 will just be the same. Tommy was III-era. Even if they did want to get Ray Liotta back, they wouldn't use him as Tommy again. Reusing stuff is a sign of stagnation. Stagnation is a sign of failing.
