Miro
Hello. Me and my friend, Bodgy_police are working on some artworks. We've made a few logos. Please note that we're just beginners with Photoshop, but we wanted to share with you our work, even if it could be sometimes a little crappy. Miromiro Bogdy_police Both me and my friend are going to post in this thread. Please feel free to share your impressions! Narcis_speed6
Create a new dark layer behind all others and to check if there are any bits left from cutting, other than that, is a good way to start. SmC12
I like the effect on the "Grand Theft Auto" part in the second logo, but the "Palm City" effect doesn't really look good with it imo. They are great for beginners though. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/472246-artworks/#findComment-1060389102 Share on other sites
Wolf68k
It's better to create the GTA part of the logo yourself. Simplest method starts with obviously installing the font. After that just need to line each line up correctly and then merge the 3 layers of text together then add a Stroke. After that you can do any effects you want. The Empty Streets one; since it's based on SA then maybe have the SA text in the original way of the game and then make, just an idea but make the Empty Street look like what you might see written on a street. Something like this maybe http://www.wallpaperdojo.com/funny/Stop_Bu...wallpapers.html And have it looking like as if you were driving up to it. Palm City is nice. I'm personally not digging on the GTA part but that's just me. Other than that as Narcis said, just need to clean out the junk. Should be able to either just select the palm tree and inverse the selection and hit delete. Another idea is to use Threshold to help get rid of it. Jonny_Tightlips
Good start! I noticed first off in the palm city text you used what looks like a built-in photoshop texture to simulate a pool-water look (i assume?). What will look much more clean is an actual pool water photo overlayed on the text. You can find plenty of textures around places like sxc.hu or abduzeedo. I love messing around with textures and blend modes, start experimenting with your design and eventually you'll find what you love to create. Have fun.
