Time period doesn't matter, genre doesn't matter, and it also doesn't matter if a song has already been in a GTA game. Have fun. If nothing else this thread might serve as an avenue for us to discover new music. I was hoping to get most of the music so it fits together nicely, IV didn't have that i would like it back also quality over quantity. Can't really consider them 'classic rock'. I'd like to see some 'talica on the rock station in V. Nothing Else Matters or Until It Sleeps would be nice. I thought about how it would feel listening to these songs while playing the game. Driving around, in cut scenes, on your mp3 player (if [and for the love of god hopefully] they have an mp3 player option in gta V). They also kept that music feel of rock songs from GTA IV. For obvious reasons, i believe it will be set in the late '90s or very early 2000's. There's no way to explain how, but it always worked no matter what. We need more stuff like that. I think some Gorillaz songs are pretty good as ambient music like that. Goin to California by Led Zep ( doubt these guys will ever let anyone use thier music... and Im cool with that ), Goin back to Cali by B.I.G, California Love by Tupac and Dre, Malibu by Hole, Califnronia Sun by Rancid, California Waiting by Kings of Leon... Songs that would be fun to blow sh*t up to: Crazy Train by Sabbath, Metallica - Master of Puppets, Seek and Destroy, Slipknot - Disaster Piece, Left Behind, Static X - Im With Stupid, This is Not, Push It, Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK, Problems Other stuff like Pearl Jam / Nirvana / Sound Garden, Foo Fighters would be a decent fit ... would be cool to have songs like No Rain by Blind Melon, Insane in the Brain, Only by Nine Inch Nails, Sittin Sideways by Paul Wall, there seems to be a ( small ) Rod Stewart trend in GTAs.. cant remember which have all been in them but You Wear It Well and Maggie May are both good. If there are several locations I think itd be nice to have location specific stuff, I.E. when in Venturas youd get a station with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc. which would be very fitting... In San Fierro, have a hippy style station, maybe some.... flamboyant (sp?) stuff, hah... Bah, thats too much thought to put into this already haha.. I quit.
