Anybody else convinced that Tim Tebow is the best option for the Broncos at QB?

Meh, we'll give it the bye-week and see the first game back. icon14.gif

Yes, but that still doesn't mean he's any good. He's playing complete draft bust ball for numero uno overall; if he were a fifth-round pick, this would be expected. The Broncos are just rebuilding right now, and will most likely have to draft another QB to take the reins. Tebow will do extremely well as a Wildcat superback, but won't suffice as the starter and team leader that the Broncos need. (If the Broncos do indeed "Suck for Luck", their rebuilding process could take a lot less time.)

btw, Lions fan since 1994, when my man Dave Krieg was QB. (He should've stayed to help Mitchell and Kramer out. That trio of QB's would've been amazing. Rodney Peete sucked brass balls.)

Twang.

I don't get why people are so down on Tebow. He's played in like 5 games, and he has looked great in all of them, in my eyes. He's a hell of a lot better than Kyle f*cking Orton, to say the least.

Maybe Denver's not the place for him. Miami (speaking of Wildcat) seem more than willing to take him off their hands.

Doug Baldwin looks real good for the Hawks. I see the Hawks getting Landry Jones or Matt Barkley, but I don't see them being the worst team in the NFL (Colts, Vikes).

yeah.... i'd love luck but i'd settle for barkley or jones.

sh*t i'd even settle for a well protected Tavares Jackson tounge.gif

Al Davis was a great personality and a great read. As bad as I hate to say this, but I think the Raiders just might... just might be better off without Davis at the head now. The man made some really questionable moves in his career, specifically late in his career.

Al may have lost it during his later years, but it doesn't take away from his legacy. The man was an NFL icon, right up there with Halas, Lombardi, Landry and Walsh. Dude had an incredible career - RIP.

I just have one word to say about my Giants performance - disgraceful.

Can a Philly fan explain to me why Andy Reid made the offensive line coach defensive coordinator? That makes NO sense!

I saw on another website Terrell Owens was hospitalized for a possible prescription drug overdose. Anyone else hear this?

Yeah. Despite Eli putting up 420 yards passing, those interceptions and turnovers just have to stop. And we need to get the running game going good with Bradshaw and Jacobs.

Dude, if Seattle didn't make those bonehead plays early on, they would have been up by three TDs at the half. Giants didn't bother to show up for this game, and I don't understand it. With their brutal schedule after the bye, they can't afford to lose these early games. Buffalo is no joke.

Fassel, Coughlin - doesn't matter who's coaching, this team keeps doing the same dumb sh*t.

Are you Meril Hodge or some sh*t? I hate the fact that people hate, hate and hate on Tebow, and I'm not a Tebow fan, yet the guy gives the Broncos clearly the best chance to win. Don't blame him for being a 1st round draft pick, f*ck Carson Palmer didn't take a snap for a year before playing and he was the 1st pick.. Yet, Tebow gets thrown onto a rebuilding team and gets all the heat. I hope the guy does great so he can make analyst (meril hodge) look like a complete idiot, and prick. At least give the dude a little credit, jesus.

No, I've seen system QB's before that were soooooo good in college but completely unready for the NFL, point in case being Vince Young, any Texas Tech QB, Danny Wuerffel, Kevin Kolb, and Rex Grossman. Sam Bradford was a much better pick than Tebow just for the fact that he can adapt to the "pro style".

Besides all that, I admittedly despised Tebow in college. Can't I have something?

I say 95% of Broncos fan want Tebow being the QB, that's from hearing more than half the stadium chanting his name almost every game this season. Plus, nobody knows if he is "pro-style" ready, because the guy hasn't even started a full season, or even half a season. Don't know why you mentioned Kolb, guy hasn't played a full season yet, and honestly shows a lot of promise especially having the second best WR in the game right now, and Grossman has been a starting playoff and super-bowl QB, regardless of how sh*tty he was. Anywho, Tebow might not be pro-style, but the guy has a great worth ethic, a great heart, can run the ball and has a cannon. They need, maybe Elway, to get in there and coach how to be a QB.

Sam Bradford was a much better pick rather than Tebow for couple more reason other than adapting to a pro style offense. It's a shame he has to throw the ball in 1-2 seconds, every snap, to show that.

Also, I hated Tebow in college... hated him.

I don't think so, Nick. I'd take Welker or Megatron (as well as a few others) over Fitz any day.

As for Kolb, I think that guy is destined for mediocrity. He'll probably be about as good as Cutler on a decent day, at best. It's a premature assessment, of course, since the guy has only started like...7 games. I'd be glad to see him prove me wrong.

You cant exactly compare Fitzgerald to Calvin Johnson or Wes Welker at the moment considering both of those receivers have good quarterbacks throwing to them.

...I mentioned Kolb because he played under Houston's spread offense. Don't forget that this is the same university that spawned Andre Ware (moan) and David Klinger (lost his starting job on the Bengals to... Jeff Blake).

Oh, so you talk about the best receivers in the game and absolutely no mention about Andre Johnson. Hmmm......That's just messed up.

Oh yeah, Mario Williams is out for the season. Just when we had a chance to get the playoffs everybody starts getting hurt.

Nor did i mention Brandon Marshall or Reggie Wayne, Roddy White, Julio Jones or A.J Green for that matter.

What bothers me is to see some of these amazing receivers mainly Marshall & Fitzgerald who have such incredible and amazing talent. With such sh*t Quarterbacks throwing to them, Marshall was a fantasy machine when he played in Denver and had Orton throwing to him. Even when Warner was playing for the Cardinals for that short time Fitzgerald was putting up wild numbers. It just blows to see such great potential not being used properly.

Tebow or Orton should go to Miami or Arizona. Denver should stop being so selfish, that might solve a few of these problems if you ask me.

Arizona has Kolb for the next 5 years, so that won't happen. The Dolphins are 0-4, and Henne out for the year, so they might end up with the 1st pick for 2012 draft. Therefore they would take Andrew Luck. smile.gif

So, my questions, what problems would that solve? And how is Denver being selfish?

Tebow would make a nice addition to the Dolphins offence, he's got a big arm and with the amount of backs and wildcat formations they play out of he would fit in perfectly. I'm not quiet sure how no one sees that.

We can compare Fitzgerald to any wide receiver. Larry has been putting up numbers since he entered the league, weather it was Anderson, Skelton, Hall, Lienart, Kolb, Warner or any other Cardinals QB throwing to him. But, I do agree, it would be nice to see someone with great skill throwing to guys like Brandon Marshall and a underrated guy like Dwayne Bowe.

At the moment, Calvin Johnson is the best wide receiver in the game, he is a man among boys compared to the guys trying to defend him. Reminds me of a Andre Johnson, except bigger and faster. Also, why would you mention AJ Green or Julio Jones right now? I think those two will be great, but not now.

5. Brandon Marshall

4. Wes Welker

3. Andre Johnson

2. Larry Fitzgerald

1. Calvin Johnson

Little Wes is the only one under 6'0''.

Indeed. I watched Julio three years at Alabama, I know the dudes talent, but he isn't that top echelon wide out in the NFL yet. He is only a rookie, though.

Because no one sees Tim as a Quarterback in the NFL, that's why. tounge.gif

Josh McDaniels tore this team apart but I guess we'll see what he saw in Tebow after the bye.

Fitzgerald is the best WR in the league. If he had a QB that can throw he'd be putting up excellent numbers (just look back to the years with Warner).

Megatron is good but for f*cks sake Fitz can catch any thing...

All good and dandy, Cris Carter could've been way more explosive if he had a decent QB throwing to him on a consistent basis in Minnesota (can't even tell you how many QBs he went through. QBs ranging from Warren Moon, to Randall Cunningham to Brad Johnson all the way to Dante Culpepper), that's how the NFL works. Right now, Johnson is easily the best, stats prove it and the highlights prove it. Johnson was destroying people when they lost 16 games two years ago. His physique is something that is rare, maybe not even rare but seeing a guy his size dominating at the WR position is almost unreal. Reminds me of what Mike Williams should've been.

true. which is why i typically have Fitz as 1a and Megatron at 1b.

As a Seahawk fan though i get to see Fitz alot.... two games too much tounge.gif

F*ck fantasy football. sh*tty year. icon14.gif

On the flip side, it's a really good year for competition in the NFL. All of the so-called "power teams" have glaring holes somewhere or another. By my count, 21 teams have some shot of making it to the playoffs; I'm hereby nominating the massively overrated* Packers for a late season skid ("OH LOL PASS PASS PASS- wait, they know what the Nickel 3-3-5 is? OH SHI-"); the Lions will win the NFC North.

*= (Why the f*ck does this always happen in the wake of Super Bowl? The Packers were a number six seed, a 10-6 team last year, and so they had to have holes somewhere. What happened to all the so-called "experts'" criticism of Rodgers' inability to fill Favre's shoes? It somehow disappeared in light of this stupid and soon-to-be forgotten drama; look, in 2009 he had his best career year, so why wouldn't he dare to try to come back in 2010? OH LOL HE'S OLD- well, so was Craig Morton in '77.)

about the Packers 2010 season, the reason people are so high on them is because when they won the superbowl last year they had more than a dozen players on injured reserve including starters like RB Ryan Grant, LB Nick Barnett, T Mark Tauscher, TE Jermichael Finley.

Being able to beat the Steelers in a superbowl with 15 players on IR is amazing but now they have a fully healthy team. and Aaron Rodgers so far has made people forget about Favre and the famous Green and Yellow number 4.

Thats why people are high on the packers right now. I think the Lions have a shot at the NFC north but i think at the end GB will win it and DET will get a wild card berth.

If Rodgers wins Green Bay another ring, people will forget (so-to-speak) about Favre. Aaron Rodgers looks like the best QB we will be watching for years now and I am very happy I was able to draft him this year.

First game this year that I am not too upset about Cowboys losing. Although the confidence the coaching staff have in Romo sticks out more than a sore thumb, and it seems bad for Romo if they are not going to let him control the end of the game. They ran it three time, just so Brady could march down the field and score the go-ahead TD, I knew it was going to happen once the 'Boys decided to rely on the run game for possession they had before the go-ahead Patriots TD. It sucks watching your team do horrible for a decade, pay a guy 10 million, then watch him crumble under pressure and then handle pressure like a god damn submarine, then not let him control the final minutes of the game.

We had that game won. It's rare to see Brady struggle the way he did, which is promising for our defense.

Oh, and I'm lovin' this year FF. Domination.

Everyone I know in WI has already forgotten about Favre.

The Cowboys Pats game was a fun game to watch if you don't care about either team. I was impressed with Dallas' ability to slow down the Pats. That last drive by Brady was so cool and calculated, I don't know if anyone could have stopped it. That touchdown pass wasn't a throw that many quarterbacks could have made. Brady put it exactly where it needed to be. The coverage by Dallas looked very good
