Long Haired Freaky Guy Posted March 7, 2011 Share Posted March 7, 2011 Facebook worked mainly because of the age of the guy, and how instantly his website became such a massive success, and is mentioned in nearly every advert, film, TV program, whatever. Facebook is one of the only sites that intergrates our whole life into it, from mapping our location, to joining pages/groups about our interests and talking about them. I can't really think of any other sites that could be turned into a popular film, apart from maybe one about Napster, or something like that. I know Napster was featured in Social Network, but it would be cool to see how it all formed, then all the legal action that was taken against him. I honestly GTAForums would make a great movie... the heartbreak over Demarest's departure.... the excitement of putting in the GTA IV disc for the first time.... the stress of waiting for TLAD to download.... the paranormal romance between Cidemalo and Ray Boccino.... the trauma of waiting for GTA V.... I don't think you could just make a film about a website, films tend to rely on people (however loosely you want to interpret that) rather than things. He talks about The Social Network and how he was disappointed about the way some characters including himself were portrayed. He believes that a movie about Napster would have been an even bigger hit. I for one think it would be a very interesting/successful movie!
