R* will announce the next GTA either just before or just after E3. I think they want all the attention on them when they finally decide to tell us. Hell, even just an official "Grand Theft Auto: 'insert secondary name'" logo would provide months of speculation. The modders have practically ruined TLAD and TGoGT Free Mode, so I hope the next release will have some safeguards to prevent modding in live games, or at least keep modders segregated from the rest of the stock players. I always felt like R* tipped their hat too soon with GTA4 and that it forced a lot of content to get cut out, to satisfy the marketing campaign they had drummed up. However, I think it has something to do with 'X' usually stands for something you don't know, like in maths (algebra) a X is the common letter used for a unknown number. So since everyone calls it GTA:next, I guesss some smart ass thought "since we don't know what it will be called, we should emphasis on the X" and now that's how it all started. Well it probably should have happened on March 1st (given there was some reoccurring history around that day), but as nothing happened it seems more unlikely. Dunno where that guy lives, but I never had to wait in line for a new game. When Modern Warfare 2 came out there were about 40 people lined up outside of Gamestop at midnight. I passed them by and went to the Walmart right next door, bought my copy with no wait (had to ask as they hadn't stocked it yet), then walked out and went right by all the idiots at the Gamestop with my new copy in hand. Regardless of Games releasing in North America on Tuesdays, Australia on Thursdays, and The UK on Fridays. It will be the same next time in my view. Worldwide Release same day for everyone.
