NEW WAYS TO PLAY GTA V

WHAT KILLSTREAKS!!!

 

Now when you read this I know 99.9% of people are going to be reminded of COD, but I would want to ponder the thought of have kill streaks in GTA V multiplayer.

 

Since I’m one of those players that have played GTA IV the most (Team Mafiya Work #1, +3400 games) I highly enjoy this game and have thought that what if players are rewarded for kills or for tasks completed in objectives based games.

 

First things first, they will have to be balanced OBVIOUSLY so that the other team doesn’t get R*PED!

TBoGT introduced this concept but only lightly. I don’t 100% remember how it worked as I enjoy playing the multiplayer game types on TLAD and IV, but i think it was 3 kills gets you more health and more kills after that will reward you with body armour

This will be different!

Instead of 3 kills gets you this or 7 kills gets you that, it will be done so that players will activate different kill streaks by how much money (SP) they accumulate.

So for each kill the player is rewarded as following:

-$100 for kills

-in games that concentrate on killing only, players will get $100 for themselves, it will also contribute to winning the game (e.g. $20,000 to win the game)

-in games that are objective orientated the reward for a task being completed e.g. $500 is divided between the team but the player gets the $ for each kill he/she gets. Same as before it will also contribute to winning the game (e.g. $20,000 to win the game)

 

EG. 2 players in an objective game up to $2500. Each task $500, each kill $100

-Player 1 gets 2 tasks, 3 kills = $1300 for the team, but $800 for him/herself

-Player 2 gets 2 tasks, 2 kills = $1200 for the team, but $700 for him/herself

 

-$ is added up for the player to rank up and is needed to win the game

-SP (Style Points) is exchanged for in-game kill streaks although the amount of SP a player accumulates is calculated and shown at the end of the game

-Players can the use the SP to customize their player while in the multi-player lobby of a game or in single player

SP (Style Points), is determined by how the player is killed, explained below

 

###[style Points are just a currency I made up, I’m sure you guys can come with something better]###

 

TDM, FFA games that the main focus is killing will work like this:

 

Headshots - 200 Style Points (SP)

Torso - 100 Style Points (SP)

Leg/Arm - 80 Style Points (SP)

 

Turf War, Mafia Work and other objective based games will work like this:

 

Turf Capture - 200 Style Points (SP)

Task Completed - 200 Style Points (SP)

Headshots - 150 Style Points (SP)

Torso - 80 Style Points (SP)

Leg/Arm - 50 Style Points (SP)

I didn’t think a UAV/Spy Plane type reward would be suitable for GTA. It would be better if the radar settings in GTA IV would remain the same. All, Team, Leader, None.

 

---POSSIBLE KILLSREAKS---

 

***Firearms*** (Weapon Upgrade) (225 SP)

-max ammo for everyone one on the team

-gives a random gun to te person who activated *Firearms* as well as keeping the one they started with (over powered weapons e.g. rocket/grenade launcher are exempt)

 

***The Firebox*** (Jet Pack) (500 SP)

-fuel operated so isn’t over used

-if the player is killed the jet pack is lost

 

Notes:

-Jetpack can be shot at for direct explosion

-Jetpack are sold at hardware stores dotted around the city, they can only be bought from there

 

***Motor Man*** (600 SP)

-all garages are accessible for 60 secs

-garages allow players to enter them for car upgrades - (NOS, spoilers, increased car tuning for better handling, paint jobs)

-not accessible to the enemy team for 60secs

 

Notes: Garages are always accessible to all team members in the game for cars to be fixed but will only be blocked if the other team activates the Motor Man streak.

 

***The Goons*** (950 SP)

-1 A.I driver

-3 A.I passengers

-equipped with ONLY pistols

-Half Health / Half Body Armour

-driving a Truck/Jeep

 

Notes:

-just as you were to call for a taxi from Roman in GTA IV, you would call The Goons and they will drive towards you from down the road or around the corner

-car is driven in close proximity to who has called them in

 

***Helibot*** (similar to Maverick) (1650 SP)

-equipped with 1 Gatling Gun that has to be manned by someone

-can shoot from either side of the Helibot

-pilot doesn’t have any weapons

-operates on a fuel system, when fuel runs out the helicopter will beep then fall. If you have a parachute equipped you can jump to safety

-pilots can fly and re-fuel there copters but are helicopter refuel points are only at a few areas in the city

 

Notes:

-Helicopters cannot land in the street, players will have to get to the top of a roof so that the copter can land for them to get in

-alternatively players can call in Heli’s from any airport but this may be obvious to the enemy team

-There will be anti-air weapons with limited rockets

 

***The Hitmen*** (1250 SP)

-1 A.I driver

-2 A.I Hitmen passengers equipped with smgs

-1/3 Health / 1/3 Body Armour

-driving a 4 door saloon

 

Notes:

-just as you were to call for a taxi from Roman in GTA IV, you would call The Hitmen and they will drive towards you from down the road or around the corner

-car is driven in close proximity to who has called them in

 

***SkyStormer*** (2000 SP)

-pilot can activate flares to deter heat seeking rockets

-2 passengers can man 2 Gatling Guns hanging outside each side of the copter

--same fuel system but runs on more fuel

 

Notes:

-Helicopters cannot land in the street, players will have to get to the top of a roof so that the copter can land for them to get in

-alternatively players can call in Heli’s from any airport but this may be obvious to the enemy team

-same fuel system but runs on more fuel

-There will be anti-air weapons with limited rockets

-pilots can fly and re-fuel there copters but there are only a few refuel points around the city

 

***Crooked Cops*** (2000 SP)

-2 squad police squad cars

-4 A.I Policemen in each car

-equipped with Assault Rifles

-Full Health / Full Body Armour

 

Notes:

-just as you were to call for a taxi from Roman in GTA IV, you would call The Hitmen and they will drive towards you from down the road or around the corner

-car is driven in close proximity to who has called them in

 

***Armoured Van*** (2500 SP)

-2 in the back

-1 passenger

-1 driver

 

Notes: 2 rockets or 3 grenades to be destroyed

 

***Tank*** (3000 SP)

-1 driver

-1 automatic gun shooter

 

Notes:

-3 rockets to destroy or 6 grenades

-Vehicles will be called in by the players and can only land ontop of building with enough space

-If you get a kill with a kill streak or by using a killsteak then you only gain $ for the game, just SP (Style Points) (jetpack exempt)

---POSSIBLY POWER UPS---

 

I thought since its GTA, players can have extra abilities they choose that reflect what they look like. So different clothing will give the player a certain advantage in different ways, instead of the COD way of having perks but not being visible.

 

Explained below:

 

Running Shoes

LV1 Run Quicker

LV2 Vault/Jump over walls & ladders quicker

LV3 Unlock All Different Types Of Trainers To Buy (E.g. Colours, Patterns, Makes etc)

 

Jeans

LV1 Quicker getting into vehicles

LV2 Be able to stand up through the sunroof of a car and shoot

LV3 Unlock All Different Types Of Jeans To Buy (E.g. Colours, Patterns etc)

 

Top

LV1 Switch weak weapons with other players

LV2 Switch strong weapons with other players

LV3 Unlock All Different Types Of Top To Buy (E.g. Colours, Patterns etc)

 

Jewellery

LV1 15% More SP for each kill

LV2 25% More SP for each kill

LV3 Unlock All Different Types Of Jewellery To Buy (E.g. Earrings, Rings, Chains, Bracelets, Glasses etc)

 

Gloves

LV1 Fire two weak weapons, 2 reticules appear on the screen, (fire left gun by pressing LB and right gun by pressing RB)

LV2 Fire two strong weapons, 2 reticules appear on the screen, (fire left gun by pressing LB and right gun by pressing RB)

LV3 Unlock All Different Types Of Gloves To Buy (E.g. Colours, Patterns etc)

 

(im not sure how this would work as you would need the two analogue sticks to shoot and then you couldnt walk but imagine being able to shoot two independent targets at the same time)

 

Headgear

 

I couldnt think of anything that a headwear could do for the player but maybe as the player ranks up they unlock different types of headwear to show off statue

 

E.G

LV1 Beanies, Baseball Caps

LV2 Head Bands

LV3 Dunce Caps

LV5 Construction Site Hat

LV10 Mortarboard (Graduate Cap)

LV13 Cowboy Hats

LV17 Police Helmet

LV20 Buckingham Palace Guard Hat

LV25 Conical Asian hat

LV30 Balaclava

LV33 Green Baret

LV39 Top Hat

LV45 Hat with Beer Cans at each side and a straw

LV50 Astronaut Helmet

STOP ASKING FOR GTA/COD HYBRID ITS PISSING ME OFF!!!

 

 

Nobody apart from a few select cases wants COD anywhere near GTA and i am not one of those few select cases. These two do not belong together STOP TRYING TO PUT STUFF FROM BLOPS/MW2 INTO THIS GAME. R* is one thing and thing is a trend setter, a born leader. It never ever copies something to that extent R* pushes the boundries on many things and since every COD is basicly the same game different name it's just not going to happen.

 

 

Now don't get me wrong they aren't bad ideas i just don't want that in my GTA Experience.

Although I despise CoD, these really seem to fit GTA and would definitely spice up the MP.

 

GTA IV MP was and is bland as f*ck and just uninteresting, but these kinds of ideas would make it worth playing.

If you guys haven't played RDR yet, the multiplayer on that has been improved a lot compared to GTA IV, so New Player Titles, Free Roam stuff to do, etc, is all there now instead of just nothing.

^exactly. GTA with the same multiplayer set up as RDR would make me a very happy man. No need for tons of perks and stuff, just the advancing on the other side. I loved RDR's multiplayer set up.

Nope. Even the OP himself said that COD-like killstreak rewards aren't even fitting for GTA. You see, you can't just look at the idea of things, you have to look at how the idea is presented.

 

Killstreaks =/= airstrikes. In this case, killstreaks = refilled health and etc. Hardly similar to Call of Duty besides the whole concept of killstreaks in general.
