I downloaded the Mafia 2 demo (finally!) for PC and when I play it, the loading screen is fine but as soon as the game starts, I get a HUGE lag. We're talking like 3 times what it should be. I know that because I played the 10-min demo for 30 minutes. tounge.gif I will post the specs of my laptop and the game specs, maybe there's a setting I should change...

A 2001 game is NO INDICATION on what a 2010 game would run like.

Your GPU is horrible for gaming. Lower your resolution to 800x600.

Yeah, the "gta 3" remark was kinda sarcastic...

Well, its a big improvement, but still kinda slow. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help BTW. Nice Mafia 2 signature!

Hmm, you can't go any lower than that. confused.gif

Sorry, but unless there's another way to increase performance, this is what you've got.

If you can handle decade old resolutions like 640x480, then go for it.

No, that's the lowest it'll go for me...

It seems to be worst when I'm driving. Hmm.

I'd say the HD 4200 is more the culprit here.. wouldn't you? tounge.gif
