The IV website with countdown was uploaded on March 1st (I think) and we had absolutly no information about it except annucement and the game was schelued for end of year. So anything is possible, even a suprise countdown again.

Yeah, I agree, really can't wait for GTA V, end of the year really is far too late.

Come on end of the year? Definitely too late. Couple of months for marketing and the game could be on the shelves, that Is massive In The Gaming Industry.

 

Seriously some people on here need to realise how quickly a company like R* can build up hype on a game as massive as GTA, especially with there being more consoles out there than ever before.

Going by how GTA IV was reveled and released. It was reveled at E3 06 and was scheduled for release In 07 but of course It was delayed because of minor glitches that needed a bit of time spending on them and the fact that they hadn't used the RAGE engine before and they were sorting out a few issues with that.

 

I think Rockstar will have gotten used to the game engine by now and will have next to no problems making GTA V enabling them to get it on the shelves with in a couple of months of the announcement/reveal.

I'm not sure why, but after IV I was expect R* to be a bit more subtle with their humor to keep up with the rapidly maturing industry. But if these sites do in fact relate to GTA, then I guess it shows that they'll be taking a step back towards the wackiness of the III era.

I doubt they'd announce anything before L.A. Noire releases. I believe they want us to focus on that game for now. And what about Agent? Well, all I know is, I've never been more ready for the next GTA game. GTA IV remains my favorite game of all-time at the moment and I'm ready for the hype to begin again. I've never been as hyped as I was for GTA IV, coming on these forums every single day for even the slightest bit of new information or a single new screenshot.

 

Maybe they will announce it at E3, as GTA IV was first announced at E3 2006. Ultimately, I'm hoping for a May 15, 2012 release!

Yeah, im guessing a 2011 anouncement at E3, or an announcement in March with just a logo, and if you Pre-order LA Noire theyll give you some kind of info/trailer.

Indeed mate, this part of the forums have been rather dull but after the smallest piece of evidence of GTA:V coming closer this place has lighten up alot, can't wait for some solid evidence.

I worked for a ISP registering domain names, one i recall was for the upcoming So Undercover movie that that will be starring Miley Cyrus - I registered the offical website soundercovermovie. the production company Hammer films called me back in Nov - this is perhaps 5 months before the film comes out. Not too say there is that direct a parallel, after all R* could register these a year or more before GTA5s release.
