Cop Bikers Overhaul 1.0




Overhaul? Wat?

By default, GTA SA has unique cop model for each city. However, there's only one cop biker for whole state. It has a bit of nonsense, as his model name apparently tells that is a LS biker. Also, Rockstar left in gta3.img two fully usable models of bikers for SF and LV.

Why not make them usable? This mod (or rather, this plugin) adds them to the city, as they should be placed, according to their names.

Believe me or not, that mod doesn't spawn cops by itself, only hacks the EXE routines. However, you even don't have to believe me, as mod is open sourced smile.gif


This mod is compatible with the CLEO 3/4 Libraries found here:
http://cleo.sannybuilder.com/

Put cbo.cs in GTA San Andreas\CLEO directory and peds.ide in GTA San Andreas\data directory to install the mod.
If your peds.ide file is modified, add mod lines by yourself by pasting them below #---ADD NEW PEDS HERE line. You have to paste these two lines:

272, sfpdm1, sfpdm1, COP, STAT_COP, swat, 1FFF, 0, null, 9,9, PED_TYPE_EMG,VOICE_EMG_MCOP1 ,VOICE_EMG_MCOP6273, lvpdm1, lvpdm1, COP, STAT_COP, swat, 1FFF, 0, null, 9,9, PED_TYPE_EMG,VOICE_EMG_MCOP1 ,VOICE_EMG_MCOP6

You don't have to worry about cop models, as they are in all SA copies in gta3.img archive, just unused.

Known bugs

As mod modifies several hardcoded routines, it might crash on some EXE versions (1.0 US HOODLUM and Compact are tested and bug free, 1.0 EU is possibly compatible too). Edited by Silent

Does anyone else get extremely random crashes when this is installed? They can happen anywhere and at anytime?

I guess it's one of these scripts which need to be .cs3 when used under CLEO 4.3.

I just suggesting, Desert Sheriff should be added in Desert because originally Desert sheriff were placed in desert but they're replaced by Country Sheriff instead, I don't think there is a mod adding Desert Sheriff to Desert

For me works correctly, I installed this mod two years ago in my SA and until today still working correctly. Test it with other EXE. Compact for example.

How to make this compatible with Extendend Gang Wars? When I install this mod, ballas gang members appear on cop bikes and acts like a real cop.

I have 1.01 Euro exe and cleo 4.1, other cleo mod working but this ain't working, how can we fix this, man? Great mod and can you add Desert Sheriff to desert areas?

Anyway, I solved this issue just by using a 1.0 hoodlum, now cop bikers are working but is there any way to add those unused desert sheriffs to Bone County?

Your surprise is surprising. This one is one of the default mods for GTA San Andreas, like your patch and skygx.

You could at least consider going back to it, updating the code when necessary, maybe even adding new features, like the unused desert sheriff's

yeah this small mod is nice i ask my why R* didnt include it from the beginning because the cop models are fine,

El Dorado desert sheriff appear with the town_adjuster.asi iirc, you will find it in: Restored Peds by format c
