EFLC: Off Route Crash

Hi,

 

I have a problem being able to advance any further in the past "EFLC" past the mission "Off Route" since the game crashes all the time after the first cut scene for that mission. I can get as far as the black screen with the "Loading..." written on it but it doesn't get post that point after about five minutes. I check the status of the game in "Task Manager" and it says the status is "Not Responding", this has happened to me twice already and I was whether there was a patch I needed to download or what to solve the problem.

It doesn't work! I can't even load the game in Safe Mode I can only get as far as the social club credential dialog box. After I press "Play (offline)" nothing happens game-wise. By the way I am playing on Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP2 4GB RAM.

 

Edit:

 

Windows informs me that EFLC has stopped working about 5 seconds after I try to play the game (in Safe Mode).

Try lowering to minimum all in game settings and see if you can get past that point.

I got it working once so I am installing it on my Win 7 laptop to see if it works with problems on there.

Yay! Installing/Playing EFLC on my laptop works. The game doesn't crash and I can't continue on with the story.
