One last pigeon

I used to play GT4 religiously, and went through the online tutorial, watched the videos and hunted down all 150 pigeons. Then when i got to the very last one, I killed it. To my astonishment nothing happened, no little notification or achievement saying I got the last one. I paused and looked at the stats and I have only gotten 149!!!!! I have NO IDEA which one I missed, as i went from number 1 to number 150 in order, saving my game at intervals. This is somewhat distressing, and it made me stop playing the game all together, but now I am picking it up again. Is there any way to find that one f*cking pigeon without going through every singe pigeon location on the map all over again?

Infinite Monkey

I don't think I've heard of anyone who has actually hit that last pigeon on their list and got that satisfying chivo plink.

Usually it means you thought the game had autosaved when it hadn't, so if you have a dim recollection of getting in a massive firefight and getting wasted just after a pigeon incident, and then thinking "f*ck this; it's four in the morning! I better knock this on the head for now and pick it up tomorrow..." then check that pigeon first

150 pigeons?

i did this on one of the gta3s, i had to go back to everysite and check them all again. On GTA4 i made damb sure to make notes as not to miss one, as i got close to the end I had actually killed one and not made a note of it so it wasnt as bad as missing one and noting it.

This same problem happened to me before, I had just shot the last pigeon in all of Liberty City and gained the trophy for doing so, happy with my achivement I called it a night and turned my console off. Then the next day when I started up GTA IV again I went to the stats menu and it said that I had only killed 199 pigeons. notify.gif

You should checkout the GTA IV official strategy guide at your local game store. It gives very detailed and acute locations for all 200 pigeons. icon14.gif

So did you only kill 149 or did yo kill 1 less than the target (200)? I'm confused.

only 149

I hunted 1-150 and missed one along the way, then gave up

Here are two good interactive pigeon maps:

http://www.gta4.net/map/?z=1&c=pigeon

http://www.gta4.tv/Pigeons.php

Pick the one which has the same numbering of pigeons as the tutorials you watched, or aleast the closest, it'll make your work easier. Google for more maps if need be. You'll need a map with screenshots.

View the screenshots one by one in order and and try to recollect whether you've been to that place and killed the flying rat. Note the ones you have doubts about and pay a visit to those locations. This will be faster than having to go through the video tuts again.

If you play on the PC, try to find out if there's a mod which can show you the locations of remaining pigeons.
