mkey82
GFWL forums would be probably the best place to start looking. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/470220-pc-disconnected-from-game-session/#findComment-1060347667 Share on other sites

anon18169
OK GUYS THIS IS WHAT I DID....AND I STILL HAVE THE "DISCONNECTED FROM GAME SESSION" 1. Go to start, click or write Run and then type in "CMD" 2. When CMD will open (its a black window) type in ipconfig 3. U will get information: -IPv4 Adress which will be probaly (192.168.1.2/3/4/5...) -Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 (or if u got Netgear routers and u didn't change anything on them, then maybe Default Gateway will be 10.0.0.1) 4. So now copy the Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 to your broswer and enter 5. U will be asked for a username and password(Linksys: admin, admin; Netgear: admin, password) 6. When u successfully come in router find the Port Forwarding! 7. click Add or Add Cutsom Service! 8. And now u will have to open ports: GTA IV PORTS: TCP and UDP 3074 UDP 88 Games for Windows LIVE PORTS: TCP and UDP 53 TCP 443 9. Forward or "focus" those ports to your IPv4 adress (192.168.1.2/3/4/...) 10. Now u will also have to: - Enable UPnP - Recomend u to disable IP Filtering 11. The last thing to do is disable firewall. If u won't do that nothing will happen (at least at me it was like that) and change because your firewall is filtering and "blocking" these opened ports. Also disable any other program which is connected with firewall filtering. Example i had to disable my firewall at ESET Smart Security 4, because he was also "filtering" and blocking my rules. How does opened ports looks: I still get the problem.....WTF is going on? t heres lots of people that play this and no one has a answer??? mkey82
Closed ports usually give you the nat restricted error, meaning, closed ports=game doesn't work at all in MP. Here are more ports http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=415686 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/470220-pc-disconnected-from-game-session/#findComment-1060349177 Share on other sites
