Four Iron

In the mission Four Iron you have to kill some golfer for Avery. However, when you're spotted he'll flee, get into Comet and try to escape. I remember failing it couple of years earlier (I was still a beginner in GTA) and I remember the guy getting to his mansion or something like that. Where does he go? I tried finding it but I don't know what it looks like.

Very interesting - when out of curiosity I tried to fail that mission, I couldn't. He just drived his caddy into circles, after I went to take a shower for 30 mins he was still riding in circles. Hmm.

He doesn't have a destination. If you lose sight of him, you'll fail the mission.

That's why I find the easiest way pass this mission is to park a car up against the wall and jump on that and into the golf coarse without going through the security check point, thus you keep all your weapons, than go to where you can see him and use the Sniper Rifle and kill him without alerting him or his guards(hence why I say the Sniper Rifle). Since I do all the packages from the get go(before any missions), I usually have a crap load of minigun and Sniper ammo built up by that time. Hope this helps.

You're right. I must have missed the mission...

Maybe you actually meant the mission for Colonel Cortez where you chase the courier (mall shootout). If he escapes on bike, and you follow him, he will barricade in a mansion near North Point Mall. Then, you fail the mission (which makes no sense as Tommy could just enter it gun blazing, same with Sayonara Salvatore when Salvatore enters the club and barricades there)

It's gotta be it then. But I've always thought it was the golfer. I have memories of my brother (I was little when we got VC so in the beginning I only watched) actually going to that house and waiting for target to arrive, then he would kill him. It is possible that it's Mall Shootout, but I always thought it was Four Iron.

Damn, I miss playing VC this was one of my most favorite missions. I would just drive the carts into the lake and run over him when he ran. That was typically the easiest way for me.

It's incredibly easy. When the guy gets into the caddy, he will drive around in circles for ages, then will try to escape. He will escape in an Admiral you can easily catch with the Comet.

Funnest way to pass that one IMO...

Approach the area.... park a caddy facing the water.... get in another and use it to push the first one into the water... repeat til you have one left and park it close to the water and facing it just to the left of the driving range.

Now get a back a bit and fire a weapon-- he will get in the caddy and since the game is not programed to allow them to back up.. they will drive in the water and drown--

Mission Passed

Kinda unrealistic reward, like the Treacherous Swine. You get $500 after you kill someone?

That happens all the time in GTA games. Man, in SA, during the Los Santos set of missions, you receive almost no money from the missions, and you're forced to do some extra missions (paramedic, vigilante, firefighter...) and kill drug dealers if you want to buy safehouses. Near the end of the game, however, you receive an insanely high amount of money from missions, much more than you can spend.

I love devising plans for missions to beat them in different ways, it makes for huge replay value.

The way I do it is to have a chainsaw (acquired from Treacherous Swine) and when you approach the golfer he'll walk off the platform and roll right next to my reved up chainsaw. devil.gif

The wooden bridge over the road can be jumped on, and golfer can then be taken out by firearms.

Sunny the rainy

Easiest of the missions. All you need to do is have good amount of armour and some good run. When he tries to run in a golf cart you can try to ram him or dstroy his golf cart. Its easy man.

I did it like so: got inside by jumping over the fence, that allowed me to keep my guns. Blew up the Caddys and then killed the guards. He ran out of the golf course, in front of the club, where you would normally enter, was a guard waiting for him in a Greenwood. They drove off and they randomly drove around in Ocean and Washington Beach for a while. Then they went cruising in Vice Point randomly and then I just had enough and drive-by´d them.
