Unable to access mission page?

Recommended Posts

I recently uploaded a mission - The Exchange, although I have been unable to access the mission page.

I uploaded the mission first, with a picture and a description, when that one didn't work, I uploaded the mission again, without a picture and barely any description.I thought that maybe the picture had too much information and it had crashed the servers, or something. I was still unable to access either mission page... It seems other people are having the same problem with this as the downloads and views for the page have been at zero, indicating that no one has been to the page.

When you attempt to access the page, it trys to load for a few seconds, then goes to an error report page. (500 Internal Server Error)

I believe my mission had around 70 objectives (very long), so maybe that had something to do with it?

Copy of the error page: Internal Server Error

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hi,

It took me a while before I figured it out, but it seems that your DYOMx.dat file is invalid. Judging by the content you seem to have edited with some text-editor after saving it with DYOM. Your file no longer contains the zero-terminators behind the texts in it. The script that is analyzing the mission to extract statistics, is not terminating due to the lack of these essential zero-terminators.

To confirm, I tried to load the game, and GTA_SA crashed as expected when trying to load this mission.

Please do not edit your missionfiles with outside tools, unless you know very very very well what you're doing.

We made a slight fix to the site, so that it at least not crashes the script anymore. Although it does display garbled statistics, which is a good indication that the uploaded missionfile is corrupted
