Moonshield
Two big names that come to mind immediately are Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass - who really helped break out of the "guitar as a supporting player" in jazz, bringing it out of the swing and big band, and into smaller groups. Beyond them, check out the Guitar Trio (John McLaughlin, Al Di Miola, and Paco De lucia), John Scofield (I'd suggest checking out his work with Madeski, Martin, Scofield, and Wood). And without a doubt, it's imperative that you study Miles Davis's Bitches Brew if you haven't already. Bernard Jazz
Ryo Kawasaki. If you can't learn to play like him, at least learn to pull the faces he does. Also there's plenty of Wes Montgomery tabs here. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/470013-jazz-guitar-advice/#findComment-1060349499 Share on other sites
