[WIP] EFLC (TBOGT) Map Updates for GTA IV

Yea Ill do moddb. Once I get what I can curently get working, working Ill upload a beta on Moddb. Also Ill let you know when its up to download. But the first beta wont have intereiors. But other people will be able to download it and they may be able to assist the mod. Also hopefully I may be able to do weapons and cars, which would have the same perpuse. But Im not going there yet. I did try to combine the EFLC radio stations with IV but that did not work.

 

Edit: Forgot to state that I also in the past have updated the characters. I may do that aswell for this mod.

Edit2: If I do port the club activitys should I make two scripts the user can choose from? For example Massonet 9. One playes the music that normaly playes in there and the other for people with out the DLC playes the original electroshoc.

nice try to add new music to radio without deleting iv's and vice radio.

Im aculy just going to do EFLC radio if I do it. Because Niko is not suposed to go in the clubs I may not do anything and just have it like EFLC TLAD on the counsole versions. Im doing this for compatibility and another usefull base for map modders.

Niko should still do it.And i think you should still.

I understand. People would get more out of the mod. But what Niko can do Ill make it so Johnny can do it too. Luis can aready do everything so thats done aready.

Hmm i was thinking about something,would it be possible to somehow use 2 maps for vanilla IV? Just like how on the complete edition theres the IV and TBOGT one but somehow load them with a trainer or something

In all honesty, don't bother with the clubs, they'll take the most effort and won't really be worth it, just change the city first, make it like Johnny in TLAD where he can see the clubs, but can't go in them. That would work for Niko, just seeing the clubs but not going in.

I'd love to be able to take my EFLC replays, and use them on patch 4 IV with a modification like this. If this allows that, big awesome thumbs up from me tounge.gif

Oh I thought you were talking about scripts where you can do everything that TBOGT has. Well once I can convert them with no crashing in the loading screens then they would be there.

Cant post any 3rd party links for a mod like this. Ill let you know when it releases and Ill tell you what catagory you can find it under. Dont wory you will find it.

Yea I bet Niko and Johnny would enjoy leading the dance at the end too. Or the bathroom tounge.gif

Sorry for dubble post but I have a big anouncement for this mod. I figured out a way to get intereiors working. I just have to port them to the img files for the area that they are in for some reason. The prob is that I cant port animated objects as the game crashes when I do. I have the Ratterdam Tower lobby in at this point but the flags hanging on the walls are not there because there animated. Ill need more help later on with animations. The problem is the night clubs are going to have lots of animations in them so eather for now they wont work or no animated lights in yet.

 

EDIT: found out that I dont need to convert int img's. They are loading off the img files copyed over from the DLC. Most of the IMG's crashed when I merged them. The IDE's wont load from the DLC so I have to merge those. I got the lost clubhouse to work. Some of the doors are not there and in the cage is a striper doing her thing but no pole.

Sorry to triple post but I think this one is worth it. The screen shots you have been waiting for of some of the major places in each DLC are waiting for approval.

 

But Im still having truble with e2_xref, manhat02(minor), manhat08, manhat12, and bronx_e2.

Some bad news. Glitches are all over the map. Random things moved around, more missing textures, ect. Anyway this comes out the good news for some. Im most likely going to release a Test Beta. The beta will have all the moddifyed files in it even the ones that are screwed up. This is for people who would like to help out and fix the issues with the files. Im going to be honist that there are some people out there who are more experenced when it comes to GTA IV map modding. These people are the ones who may be able to look deeply into the files and see whats wrong with them thats causing the bugs and certan files not to load. Note that this beta is for testers to help out with geting everything working as planed. People who are just downloading it to play it will probaly find the bugs annoying and not play the mod too often. But the finished version they would probaly play in replacement of the normal map for some. Hopefully some map modders will be able to use the finished version to support compatibility for there mods. So keep an eye on gtainside or moddb or both. I wont let you all down on this one because I can see how much you would like to have this in IV, and the encurigement, and the fact that Im close to the finish and Ive only been working on this for a month. You will be able to find a page on moddb for this mod soon.

 

EDIT: Moddb page waiting for approval. In the mean time Ill be packing the files together for the temperary release.

Google chrome can upload it. The issue was Internet explorer. But it turns out my first file is too big after it waited until it was done which took for ever to tell me that. Because of that the release is delayed to later tonight or tomorrow.

Its going to be up on moddb. Its a big file so thats not gona spead it up. I have to then wait for them to approve it which should take a day or two. But I realy appreceate all the support. smile.gif
