VercettiCrimeFamily
Firstly i got my iphone a couple of weeks back, not very happy with it at all.. But ill get to the problems, 'Internet Issues' - I go on the internet and on almost any site i have 'Content Control' message even though i pay monthly and Vodafone have my details they still want me to phone you up telling you that i am over 18, which is pretty ridiculous. - Not only that, the wifi on the Iphone4, is terrible ( At least with the vodafone network ) my friend has his iphone 4 on the 'free' network and its much faster than mine by a long shot, im paying 47 pounds a month this is preposterous. What do i do even better what would you do in the situation? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/469531-iphone-4-internet-issues/ Share on other sites
Icarus
There's a chance the problem might be with the phone (try Googling the problem as chances are someone has had the same issue and they might have a solution) or it could be that you have a really poor network. However, with the WiFi, I have noticed that on my iPhone 4 I would have full signal strength for the WiFi, but the browser would never connect to any pages. I would just shut down the phone and restart it and then the WiFi would work fine again. As for the Content Control message, maybe you should call your provider and ask them about that, since they would likely be able to give you a quick solution. VercettiCrimeFamily
I agree what you said about the Wifi issue. if i restart my iphone and search the web it works fine, however thats not how a £600 phone should work imo. Even though theres nothing else i can do about that really... the Content Control message, I really don't want to phone them up about that, it would be quite embarrassing lol. But i guess its going to have to be done. P.S they will think im trying to access Adult content when really im not, i mean i can't even go on 'www.zombo.com... without it saying 'Content Control' Thanks for replying, Regards. I agree with you on that one, pal, but sometimes there will be flaws with a product; they can't get it to complete perfection, but they can try and get close. Granted, the iPhone 4 has been plagued with some more problems than its predecessors, but overall, it's still a great phone in my opinion. £600 for the phone? Wow, a rough conversion of that would be over $900 CAD; it's about $750 CAD to buy it out here. Rebel
Whats so bad about them thinking you're looking at porn on your phone? Its not like you'd ever talk to them again since they have loads of people working at the call centers. To be honest, since the Iphones contract ended with o2 alot of the other phone companies have started with quite bad deals on the new Iphone 4 with all of the limits and how much you're paying. Saying that o2 contracts with the Iphone 3GS/4 are bad. The new simplicity deal they have is a lot better in my opinion. Anyway enough about that, as for the phone you really need to ring them up and just get the content over and done with. Although I don't see why they wouldn't unlock it to begin with since they'd know how old you are when you sign a deal. As for what the problem is with connecting, maybe search around google? I've only got the 3G but never had a problem like that before. Maybe plug it into your PC and make sure you have the latest software for the phone itself? I still think that if the iPhone was from a company other than Apple, people would have sued their asses to oblivion and talk about how horrible their products are and about how they wouldn't even consider buying anything from them again, but since it's from Apple, "it's a great product" despite all its flaws and people are willing to keep pouring their hard-earned money into that company. I just love double standards. Back on topic: Just give Vodafone a call and complain, no matter how embarrassing it might seem. You're a paying customer and you deserve a good service.
