Solid faces problem

Recommended Posts

Hey fellas,

I've been messing with Zmodeler and I have modified Cheetah a bit.

While I was deleting roof, I deleted some faces along with it, so there was a hole.

I filled the hole (made new faces) and now the problem is, new faces are solid and don't fit to other parts of the car.

This problem looks basic to me, so it shouldn't be hard to solve, right? tounge.gif

So, how can I make them fit with other parts of a car/how to make them have same color as the car?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Use UV mapping or material editor to give them the right color.

Remember, add [prim] to the end of your color you assign to the piece to make that piece take the carcols.dat color.

Not sure what you mean by "solid", though. confused.gif

I'm a bit confused... confused.gif

What do I exactly need to write at the end of the color name? Example: "carbody[prim]"? Is that right?

What do I need to do with carcols.dat?

Solid - non texture, bright white, doesn't fit with other parts of car (shown in picture).

Read the bottom section of this page. If you don't know how to UV map or use the material editor, there are plenty of good tuts lying around.

EDIT: I believe that's correct. Try it out.
