With this mod you can store the weapons in the trunk. More info in the readme.

It's a beta...so let me know if you find any bug. (tested with GTA IV 1.0.7.0 and last scripthook)

Added gta garage link in the first post.

 

I forgot to say in the readme that if you store the weapons in a vehicle....and then you change the car without takeback the weps....they will be automatically available in the new vehicle....(less realistic, but way more comfortable)

And obviously....if you store the weapons in a vehicle, save the game and then you keep playing it's ok.....but if you quit the game without takeback the weapons....then you'll lose them.....

Playing the mod on 1.7 and works as it should. Great job man, I always dreamed about something like this.

One thing that's annoying me thou: after I have AK in my inventory and drop it when lose my ammo, my character still has the bag on him and I have to remove it through trainer. Pretty annoying.

Man, thanks, the mod is truly awsome, I really enjoy it. However, there is a request: can you please make it compatible with EFLC? The point is, when I store my EFLC weapons in the trunk and try to retrieve them later, they just disappear. I would really appreciate if you correct that. Thanks again.

Can someone please tell me with which keys exactly to open the trunk? I'm using patch 1.0.6.0.

Same problem. Works great with normal weapons, but not with EFLC weapons.

Please, can u make the mod compatible with earlier versions? I use 1.0.4.0 patch and the game just crashes once loaded

 

Sorry, man, it was another mod crashing the game. But the mod still doesnt work with this version, so the request is in force rolleyes.gif

Very good mod and very nice that you've made it compatible with Xbox 360 controller! Tested both in TLAD and GTA IV (1.0.7) and it only works with the later. So I would also like to see it for EFLC too if it is possible. One bug that occured at least to me is that when Niko had his bag on in the cutscenes the game crashed. I don't know if anyone else experienced the same problem.

Other "bug" is that when you store your weapons to a car and then take a taxi, (pressing X to skip the ride), and then the green arrown appears over the taxi but you can't open the trunk and take the weapons. Also your first car has disapeared. Of course this is something simple to solve during gameplay (always take your guns with you if you want to take a taxi) but just thought to report it.

Keyboard controls

 

 

Shift+Q open trunk

 

E -to store weapons (only long barrel guns)

 

F -close trunk

 

T - pull gun out in form of bag and now switch to it.

 

Stored vehicle shows green arrow on top

It sucks, if you quit game you lose all your weapons, and if you don't have any weapons in the trunk and you try to get some script crashes...
