Replacing GTAIV Sniper Rifle with M249?

Hey, as the topic name says, is this possible?

 

I tried changing weaponinfo.xml and replaced some of the M40 (sniper rifle) settings with M4 settings but also customized them a little bit (like 200mag size) for M249. I also replaced rifle textures and model with M249 ones in Spark IV. I tried running the game t otry out if it works but I can't select weapon and any other weapon that I choose and fire I get instant lockup and crash.

 

Can someone tell me if this is even possible, somehow, I never use that Sniper rifle and I have all the rest of slots full, SO i wanted to replace it with M249. I used the M249 models from EFLC to GTA IV weapon pack.

 

If anyone tried this or something similiar please let me know, you can also paste your weaponinfo.xml settings fro such replacements.

Ok, no worries, I added it by messing around with coding in weaponinfo.xml, I used M4 data on M40 sniper rifle and it worked, onyl prob is now that when using/firing M249 I cant shoot&run but maybe this makes it even more realistic.
