Jimbatron
I'm not clear on what your specific problem is, but have you patched the game to the latest version yet? My Core2 duo was fine with the unpatched version, but then I upgraded to new rig with an i7 processor. I tried the game before I re-installed the patch, and it was horrible! The i-series processors came out after the game, so I'm guessing the patches allowed the game to work with them better. I left a few patches, but the same thing. writes to the graphics setting "your graphics settings are near or exceed, the suggested resourse limits for your system. It is recommended that you reduce your graphics settings ir order to run the game aptimaly". but I do not know what does, sorry my English is not very good. Press ESC during play to access the menu, graphcis menu will be there. To use command lines you have to create a text file (using notepad), name it commandline.txt and place it into the GTA IV directory. Then save any commands in the text file that you wish to use.
