Can't buy Carbon Suit Slacks (or Charcoal Slacks)

Here's what happened. I decided to pick up a few slacks at Perseus to match with some of the tops i bought there.

 

I looked at two slacks i never bought, the Carbon Suit Slacks for$300 and a Charcoal Slacks for $300 (They're basically next to each other on the left). Once I walked up to the "Carbon Suit Slacks", I purchased then and moved on to pick up the Charcoal ones. However, when I walked up to the Charcoal Slacks, the game told be "you purchased them already" or something like that. I was stumped, I never bought them...ever.

 

I then reset the game and tried again, instead buying them the opposite way around.

I walked into Perseus (again) and checked. The game says I never bought them.

 

Picked up the Charcoal Slacks and paid $300, moved over to buy the Carbon Slacks, again it says "you already purchased them".

 

Upon close inspection, the pair of pants looked very similar. Perhaps somewhere in the directory either the Carbon Slacks or the Charcoal Slacks have overwritten one another.

 

The glitch seems minor but I thought its because my disc has spots (i'll post another thread about this). Even after uninstalling the game and running it on 1.0.0.0, the problem still comes up. Has anyone using the PC version come up with the same problem?

 

I'm running the PC version of GTA IV (v1.0.7.0.) w/ sjaak's Simple Trainer 6.2
