I was finally able to make skill level in BF3 reach over 1000:

 

 

If you think that it is common, check out the top players in the world for your platform. They probably average 850-950 or even less. I don't want to brag about me, but it is pretty clear that after 17 months of improvement I am a 1337 player.

The skill stat is absolutely meaningless, it yo-yos up and down depending upon every encounter with another player in the game.

I agree, the skill stat is pointless. One bad game, a hacker that kills you 5-6 times in a game, or you simply have some bad spawns, and the stat just goes to the other end of the spectrum. No real way to determine the actual skill of the player just based off of that statistic. Also, having a skill of 1000+ will only warrant accusations of hacking/cheating, etc.

 

 

Hehehe, DICE getting around to not adding weapons, however, they added an assignment that unlocks the M1911 S-Tac. Crafty. And I knew that the three vehicles would be the dirtbike, plus a Russian/American AA. They would be just like that to cut corners that way...

 

Well, I will like the S-Tac, but you know they just cut stuff from BF3, to make BF4 look more superior...

Does anyone else get really sh*tty download speeds when it comes to updating BF3 through Origin? I mean, I've got an update for it now and I turned that sh*t on at 11am today and its telling me I've got forever left to go on it & getting speeds of no more than 100-200kb - when I know for a fact everything else I download of the same size as this update aren't slow & time consuming.

End game is already out on Europe for PS3 premium users its been hours, still it isn't on PS store for me and for anyone in the US. I can't wait for it, the gameplay on consoles is awesome, something that we were missing in Armored Kill.

 

@Rebel: Once again, you should really consider getting Premium, the expansion packs are not like CoD's map packs where nothing changes but just a few adly designed maps. With BF3's DLC we get 20 new and completely different maps, 20 new great weapons plus the Crossbow from Aftermath, 17 vehicles(counting both US and Ru ones), and very different experiences with each one of them. 50$ is really nothing compared to what you get spending that money in the game, you get almost a completely new game. The amount of content is overwhelming at least.

I don't see the point in buying the £35 package for new weapons/maps when I'm saving money. Not to mention the base game itself is more than enough fun for me. I've already got a couple favourite maps & unlocking things isn't really important to me. Its more of a bonus. Plus having the base game while others I know have the premium doesn't stop us from playing together. I got the base game for £16 ~ was the last thing I've purchased before my saving began.

 

I just think it would be a good move for EA/Dice to let players pick what kind of update they get. I mean, I'm pretty sure a lot of other people have the base game & no other expansion packs and find updating 6GB worth of content that they have no interest in buying a little extreme.

 

As for the Origin download thing - its not just me out there having a rough time. Apparently a lot of other people have a difficult time with speeds from what I've googled. Some people are just lucky while others are not.

Just downloaded the patch, need to download the maps. I held out not getting the Premium, I thought f*ck E.A., but then....gave in ashamedly ...it's worth it, but I still hate DLC as a whole.

 

So after all this DLC, patches and sh*t how much GB. is taken up by BF3 on my ps3 hard drive????

Some things, but it also adds a new base for Damavand Peak rush.

 

End Game is awesome, it is what Armored Kill was supposed to be, at least for consoles.

I'm glad this fixes the AT Mines registering as a vehicle kill when in one. I hated when I laid down mines (I have very few mine kills) git in a vehicle, then out of nowhere, get a random "kill" with my T-90 or Quad Bike, when all I'm doing is driving. I also hated running over a mine, and the game saying I was killed by a jet or Quad Bike that is across the map. But they STILL haven't fixed Below Radar, which has been f*cked up for the longest time (if not forever).

I'm glad they fixed the repair icon location bug, my buddy and I are tank WHORES and it is such a big pain in the ass to going prone and need to repair my tank driver and to be repairing my heart out only for two things to happen:

 

a)My buddy is still disabled and since I see the icon gone I assume he's fully repaired; hes not.

b)I'm repairing a 100% good-to-go tank because I can't tell if he's still disabled and losing life.

 

I know the repair tool will make a distinctive hiss when its not repairing but sometimes in the heat of a massive firefight with bullets flying by your head and tank shells are landing everywhere its hard to make that distinction.

I think any f*cker who uses a javelin constantly on CTF is a fa**ot, probably the same sh*tty players that used the USAS only before it was nerfed.

 

New maps are a bit like Minesweeper too.

Yeah, M&K is so much better than using a plug & play controller for the PC. Especially for me anyway, I'd suck ass and get like 6-20 deaths on the 360 while on PC I'm getting 30+ - 5 soooo much better.

For FPS, Yes, and other games where Vibration is a major asset.

 

Then again It's all about preference with this, Whatever suits you best I guess.

The only mode I don't like on those maps is TDM, especially in Sabalan Pipeline: way too chaotic, it is all over the place like Canals.
