Man, I haven't touched BF3 in 3 weeks, maybe abit longer.. Kind of bored of it.. waiting on End Game.

 

It's not really so much the game that I'm bored of.. but I get bored of FPS after awhile. I went ahead a purchased L.A. Noire for $15 and been replaying it.. forgot how good of a game it really is. Anyways, I haven't been up to date with any recent BF news.. anything about End Game been released other than the teaser trailer?

March 2013 is the designated release date, but I don't follow BF3 much since I'm pretty terrible at the game,I only play the Core game

Thanks for the update. I started out on Core as well when it was first released for atleast acouple weeks. But once I got into Hardcore.. it's all I can play now.

The final expansion for Battlefield 3, End Game, will add a couple of new modes, four new maps, and new vehicles to the mix.

 

According to the official Battlefield site, End Game's two new modes include classic capture-the-flag action and the return of Battlefield 1943's Air Superiority mode. The latter mode was unlocked after the 1943 community racked up 43 million kills. In it, teams participate in large-scale dogfights, with the goal of having more aircraft in the sky than the opposing team.

 

The expansion also adds dropships, which can be used to quickly deploy troop transport into the field. There's no word on the new maps or what three of the four new vehicles will be (aside from one being a dirt bike).

 

EA hasn't provided pricing details, but if the game's previous downloadable expansions are any indication, players can expect to pay about $15 for it. If you're a member of Battlefield 3's premium service, you'll get it two weeks before everyone else at no additional cost. End Game is currently slated for a March release.

The fact that only 2 of 5 packs have new guns is the piss of it. EA made such a a big deal about the DLC when they were announced talking about all the new guns, the vehicles, etc.

 

Then, when it turns out most of the packs dont have weapons, those of us who paid the $50 under the impression that we would get more feel cheated. 4 of 5 packs have new vehicles ,yet only 2have guns. I feel cheated having bought Premium.

 

Every DLC has had less new content than the last. Yet, all cost the same ...

 

and @Foley, Aftermath came with one weapon... Not what I would consider a "sh*t ton"

I'm a little dissapointed in the DLC, I was really hoping for a 2 person jet to be released eventually... I'm a hardcore jet pilot.

 

I don't play BF3 anymore because the mesh quality on consoles is too damn low.

 

In case you don't know, the mesh quality is how bright the red dots are on the map. On PC there are great pilots because they can see ground troops, but on consoles you only see them when its too late... You will crash if you try to shoot them.

Yes we need more weapons. The crossbow was a good addition... but they should've done more things like that.

 

Same for REAL nightmaps... flashbangs... more sidearms (customisable sidearms... more lasersights for the sidearms...) more specialisations.

 

The maps are great that they add, new gamemodes are also fun... but actually only the first two DLC's were actually worth full price. New weapons, new vehicle(s), new maps, new gamemodes. In my opinion.

That makes me sad since I was really good at the game mode in Battlefield 1943. The only two things wrong about it in that game are the enemy plane indicators and how the Zero has better maneuverability than the F4U Corsair.

Maybe DICE is going to make it so jets will be naked of attachments. Hopefully, thats what is going to happen.

That's my hope. If people really want to test their "skill", then it should be tested in the most basic form. Call me old school, but that's how I see it.

I bet it will be six v six or eight v eight. The other six or four may be tanks or AA. And the usual few who have Javelins and Stingers.

 

 

At least on consoles. I bet it may be something like 20v20 on PC.

I am torn between purchasing Endgame or not. I only want it for the new mode since I spend most of my time in Jets. However, I'm not great -- I'm just good; the only pilots that remain in BF3 now are the no-life veteran pilots that shoot their machinegun like its a lock-on weapon.

Anyway, I got MVP1 in conquest and Rush and got first place in a few TDMs, and get this, I was using a DAO-12

Got 4479 DAO-12 kills.

Sounds fun. I've been flying jets around lately. I'm getting better. Not great, but better. Of course, I think I only have one fighter to fighter kill. It's tough out there for a newb in a jet. It's like swimming with sharks. You jump in the ocean and before you get a chance to even find a bogey he's already on you with a lock.

 

Edit: Now choppers, that's another similar story, but I'm much worse. At least on Xbox. Man, in BFV with a mouse and keyboard back in the day, I was the go to chopper pilot. I'd be all over the map dropping my guys by flags, popping tanks with rockets, I was a definite chopper ace. It's been a long time, I guess. I never got the knack of it in BF2 or BC2.

DICE and EA skipping out on making a better DLC for Endgame can be seen as a way of looking at BF4. If DICE were to make something great for Endgame, 5+ vehicles, 10 more weapons, a few sidearms, the Air Superiority, other stuff, then they would go out with a bang. It would make gamers think

 

"This is a taste of BF4, I'll make sure to get it when it comes out!"

 

 

But in reality, I bet DICE and EA are thinking

 

"We can't put these features in this game's DLC, because it will take away from the marginally better sequel coming out next winter!"

 

 

...hence why Endgame comes up short.

 

However, there are two new game modes. One of which is Air Superiority. What might the other be?

I doubt it. Which is reasonable. You get a bunch of DLC for cheap. Although I don't know how much of that DLC I actually use. I've had the game for a month, and I played some Aftermath maps for the first time yesterday, and that's the newest DLC. I'll probably cave though, and pony up the dough for premium.

Wow has this game changed. Have not played in a while but I've had some great times. I never liked the jets in conquest as they seemed underpowered but I've got a few hundred jet kills in rush at least. I hate the people that disable your jet as you take off because that's just a cheap tactic. I hope in BF4 you can't pay for unlocks.
