Okay, I've played this game for a fair bit since buying it a few days ago. Still early days but loving it at the minute, so far.

 

Although, nothing has changed in the fact that I'm still f*cking piss at Battlefield games despite playing it since BF1942 . I always die for the most inconspicuous reasons.

Reading a lot about how people's Battlefield got screwed up royally. I even read about dead Xbox consoles after installing the patch but not sure if that's because of the patch or because of the controller that was slammed into the console because of the problems they had

 

Anyways, installing now. If it works I'll edit my post with a thumbs up (or thumbs down)

I mean that recoil will render it useless for most players... same goes for FAMAS.

Good thing they changed that, people are gonna need a lot more skill to do the trick.

 

I'm going to start playing with M16, AK's... , I'll like the challenge.

 

What's a pity though is that once you join a 24/7 Métro server you nearly always join the US team and you're gonna get shot to pieces by the Russians while not even being able to get past Flag C haha

I don't understand why they added the option to switch teams in the customize menu - the options don't save for seperate teams. I changed my class to have different weapons for RU and US, but it only saves the last changes you made (e.g. if you change something in US loadout it changes it in RU as well), so it was pointless adding the option.

 

Unless I'm missing something..

I installed the patch before I went to work. Noticed some of the dogtags were f*cked. Some of the ones I'd taken now say I haven't, and there are others I definitely didn't. Also showed some as new when I'd had them for ages. Weird.

I'm downloading the 360 patch at the moment. I don't really know what I'll make of it, seeing as feedback has been very mixed from the community. Despite that this game was gagging for a decent patch anyway :\

It's great mate, felt like a new game to me, you'll like it, unless you're a prat that uses the USAS alot !

There's some good and bad points. Overall the gameplay is much improved and features have been added, and weapons modified so it definately feels more balanced. However for me all my classes were completely reset so I had to go through each one and set it back to what I had, then I found out the RU and US sides don't even save seprately, so that was dissapointing. Also it's quite hard to find a good server, took me a while to get some which had what I wanted (so many f*cking 24/7 OP Metro servers). It's definately a huge improvement which you'll notice right away.

 

Had so much fun on Wake Island just there, I got MVP 2 with 6 kills and 27 deaths, and the match lasted 54 minutes lol. Most of the deaths accumulated near the start cause the enemy team were just spawn raping. So I went into stealth mode and just sneaked into enemy bases while everyone else was on a rampage near the airfield. The servers with loads of tickets are awesome fun, really keeps you focused compared to switching rounds every 10-15 mins. Though like I said it's quite hard to find a decent one.

So they f*cked the game, suppression is stupid, they gave the RPK-74 a 200 ROUND f*ckING MAG WTF, has 45, or 75 drum, this is f*cking stupid, they removed the extended mags from the QBB and the MG36, this is all f*cked up, makes NO SENSE.

 

I hit quick game, conquest, any map, and end up on a server with 1300 tickets and the round lasts for 79 minutes, and this happens:

 

 

AND the admin killed me while I was alive and made me switch team, wtf is this sh*t.

But as usual they f^cked up some part.suppression is increased so much so that if you are in the receiving end of the bullet you can't do that much. You are pretty much dead.maybe they should rename it to suppressionfield 3 lol.

 

But overall they improved the game with addition of rent a server

Yes normal servers are still available and you can also join the private servers.it was always fun.today I played on a 500 ticket server on 360.it lasted for 48 mins and it was a fun game.

They're are mostly private servers now though, which is kind of horsesh*t. I don't want to play on a server where the admin's playing and kicks you for getting a nemesis on him, or them putting 1000 f*cking tickets for each team on Metro.

Because of the new squad layout, it seems that there is almost ALWAYS full squads on the other team, meaning we didnt get any peace at all on karg it was constant f*ckers reviving and bullsh*t.

 

My squad kept spawning at B and it was ALWAYS in the same spot and a squad of 4 were just camping it and reviving and knifing, I had to spawn in holding down the trigger on an LMG to kill 3 of them, then another whole load came over and f*cked us up.

 

Also on Caspian, I was at B and there was at LEAST 6 people all in the river in a square 20 foot radius, I would estimate 8 or 9 people all running to B, I was in the tank with a friend and we couldnt even get them all dead, it was bullsh*t. Hopping reviving and sh*te.

 

sh*t like that shouldnt happen, I like games more active but I like some peace and quiet where I can run to a flag or take out a vehicle without getting f*cked over.

 

It just seemed like f*ckers were always on your ass, and all my guns went inaccurate AS f*ck. Suppression sucks. As you can see by my score in the last post, it was basically just down to exploiting that.

 

There are alot of good UI changes and things that should have been fixed for ages, but you still cant hit A to be revived and not stand up, which is dumb, and I really dont understand the LMG extended mag fiasco. It has REALLY f*cked me off, as I have already mastered the RPK, and I was JUST about to go back to using the MG36, pointless now.

 

They didnt make the AN-94's burst much more effective, its faster but still meh, they added single shot but you still spawn with burst.

 

Though the thermal sight now is pretty nice again, the only nice thing really.

 

I havent tried yet but I heard from friends the M26 MASS and 870 werent working as well, those were my go-to weapons as they ALWAYS worked, I hope they didnt f*ck them over, they were legit weapons.

Wow, so much f*cking complaining in here, Jesus Christ.

 

Got disabled by a (now overpowered) Stinger in the (still pretty bad) F-35 on Oman, flew around whilst losing health hoping I could steal the respawning Flanker I had previously taken down.. Then their chopper spawned and the guys who Stingered me jumped in and started flying it off.. I jumped out of my F-35, pulled my parachute, and long range mid-air SMAWed the chopper whilst still falling, getting a double kill and then landing on their wreckage still in the air before it finally blew up. That, was, the best, f*cking, thing, I've ever done in BF3.

Well, I don't mean in a bad way, I'm not questioning his credibility, but I just find out hard to believe. Battlelog would be awesome if you could watch footage of matches.
