A 40 minute episode of a television series takes up 1.3 GB of space for me. Takes like 15 minutes to download. How is 1 GB an inconvenience in the West?

The only inconvinience to me would be the random disconnections you know too well of due to some faulty wiring in my walls thanks to my ISP.

True, but a 1gb is huge for me considering that I lived with 50 kb/s download speed.

Some of us in the west don't have fibre optic connections or broadband faster than 7mbps. And we then have to deal with sh*tty ass data caps that aren't even above 100gbs a month. So an update that is 1 gb is huge and will take a long time for some of us in the west.

Different protocols. Probably to do with the ease (or difficulty) of making things available and updating them on XBOX Live.

PS3 doesn't have rights to patches a week earlier, lol. The reason it was delayed on both PC and 360 is due to problems with those respective patches, and specific to only those patches. PC problems are obviously more easily pushed to the public once fixed, however on 360 the patch needs to be sent for certification again.

Am I the only one who doesn't want the patch? There is only 1 thing that I am against and it's the "Unable to detonate C4 after you respawn." It will suck all the fun from C4s and who knows, maybe even Support.

Since patch I've used c4 more effectively to be honest, I used to wreckless...but now I'm laying it down like a ninja. Being sure not to die !

 

It doesn't take the fun out, just adds to it by making it more challenging.

I've never even thought about detonating my C4 after I respawn (mostly because I had no idea you could), when I sneak up on tanks I just run the hell out of there pressing my detonator, if I get killed before I can destroy it then fair enough I'll come back and try again if I get the chance, or let someone else deal with it. I don't really see why a few seconds for a revenge kill no longer being included is taking any fun out of it. The fun is trying to blow sh*t up without being killed.

I believe the only reason EA and Sony brokered the deal was because of EA promising free BF1943 with the BF3 Limited Edition, it never happened and people got mad, even Sony. So to make up for it PS3 gets all DLC a week(ish) before every other platform. It still kinda seems like DICE made the patch fall into this whole deal, i was expecting PC to get the patch first being as it'd be easier to get it out through Origin than the certification need for consoles.
