Yeah, the other day when I started playing for the first time in a few days, I joined a conquest server, and it was called "epic battles" and every game was conquest. Then I joined a random server called soldier skirmishes, and it changed modes after the first game.

 

And the other day on Kharg Island conquest, I was hidden in a building while a Viper was trying to blow it up. As it shot out a wall I shot out a rocket into the start and actually hit it. They were dumb enough to stay in it, too.

I like these servers too, is it new to the game?

If not , I wish I knew sooner about it.

 

100% right, about the fraggers. 100% pussies, I ran out of F2000 ammo last night, and went looking for my victims guns, picked up a USAS, felt so dirty.

 

Also took out a little bird, with an unguided SMAW, It was like hitting a bulleyes on a dartboard, from 100m, I wish I had that moment recorded.

After that patch the best rocket laucher to use will be the SMAW(RPG), since it will be one hit kill for aerial vehicles like helicopters. Of course you will need skill to do that.

I don't like the server changes. Harder to find a conquest server with just the normal maps. It's the PRGM servers that have conquest only now, but some have Karkand maps included.

Cant wait for the patch, for so many reasons.

 

I love taking pot shots, at heli's in the hope of getting lucky. 1 shot destroy with an unguided, sounds great.

 

How do you find these mix mode servers? are they simply called "soldier skirmishes?" When it comes to server browser I find it a little confusing.

The leveling up system isn't that bad, plus at level 30 you still have a large majority of the actual rank unlocks, and i'm also glad the class unlocks are based on getting points for that class and not leveling because it would be such a grind to get the weapons if that was the case.

Not to scare you, but it still grows even more until rank 45, then it levels out. But after 45, theres no more general unlocks... I'm kinda sad, because I have unlocked everything, and out is just a matter of mastering everything now...

You've gotten all weapon unlocks? All vehicle unlocks? All dogtags? All ribbons? All medals? Nobody in the world has everything unlocked.

Actually, all the SERVER0XXXX servers are Conquest only mate.

Sorry,i wasn't specific enough,i was referring to weapons. I have them all unlocked, except a couple co-op, and my goal is to get kills with them before I unlock them.

 

And of course I don't have all the ribbons.

I don't know what they have done to the game recently but when ever I join a rush game through quickmatch, the game after is conquest but I don't want to play conquest. I just like playing rush after rush. If I want to play conquest, I'll search for it. What have DICE done?

Apparently the game now forces people into 3 squads of 4. That sounds awful.

they added a playlist where the map is routinely changed between rush and conquest.

 

you can choose which playlist you want to play in server browser if you are playing in console

@papanesta Hooray! Theres an A-91 tag now? Sucks I gotta wait for xbox... That was the first gun I got over 100 and 500 kills, and I was a little confused as to why I didn't get any tags. And after triple-checking the tag list I found out there wasn't even any there! Of course,i won't use them but I'm glad that they fixed one of the most obvious problems.

That's the only thing I will miss. Revenge c4 kills when the tank driver kills me. But I hope they compensate that with a smaller delay from pressing the clapper, and the actual explosion. I absolutely rage when I press it, wait, die, and theres no explosion. THAT needs fixed.

I had no idea the revenge C4 thing even worked, I don't know how many times I've been killed planting C4 on a tank and then respawned desperately pressing the detonator to no effect. Must just be bad luck for me.

 

Patch sounds pretty good though, some much needed fixes and some suprising changes which should add to the enjoyment of this game even more!

Maybe you died and the lag made it so there wasn't any c4 on it yet, or the tank may have been blown up after you died

 

But the detonator lag really pisses me off

Some of the changes coming through are very mixed reaction wise.

A played a few rounds tonight with the Patch. Still don't understand why it was 1.08 GB. I will miss MAV elevation as me and my friend used to use it occasionally to try and get ridiculous head-shots from some of the hard to access points (Can still access them with a chopper but MAV was just so much easier) but its good that's its gone as some people used it far too often. I did feel like the PS3 version flowed a lot smoother like there was some increase in framerate, the squad thing is good aswell was worried earlier about the forced squad thing but it seems not to be the case. They also seem to have fixed the issue of not going into the same team as a sqaud member.

 

Noticed some of the frag round USAS-12 users weren't slaughtering that much (Could of just been terrible players), managed to dodge some shots and land a clean headshot a few times with different players so it defiantly feels like the splash damage nerf was sizable as before I was a lamb to the slaughter.

I've been using pretty much all the basic guns and just grinding the attachments with them, so would this mean that if I want my US Support class to use the M249 but my RU class to keep using the RPK 74M I wont have to manually switch them? pardon my stupidity.
