Oh sh*t... I really hope this game lives up to it's expectations and will finally be the return of true FPS gaming on PC. Bad Company 2 wasn't horrible at all but in the end it was still a "consolised" FPS on the PC. A good one that had the heart in the right place and all the respect for PC gaming but nothing like the 'good old' PC FPS games we had in the past.

 

This is looking like it's going to be THE return of PC FPS gaming. I just hope it eventually is what we were craving for the past few years.

Amen brother. One can only hope. But this probably means this generation of consoles is on it's deathbed as PC is on the rise again. Then the new generation will be released in a couple of years and PC gamers will get sh*t for a couple of years etc.

Just watched it on Facebook. I don't know why, but it's even better viewing it as an almost whole (as there is still parts missing).

 

After we get this commentary unlocked (anybody got 220,000 friends?), they have no excuse but to move on and show us multiplayer. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

 

Also, anybody else notice they still released the video a day early? It was supposed to be out on the 17th.

Battlefield has nearly 800,000 likes on Facebook, and I'm one of them! Also, even though it's old footage, that "My Life" trailer was awesome!

 

Oh, and people, don't forget about Battlefield Play4Free (which can hopefully get you through the wait).

As much as I mentioned earlier that everybody that should like it probably does, the number is still raising surprisingly quickly. Perhaps because of the advert on TV.

 

Make sure all your friends know why they should like it. I've mentioned it to people who weren't aware, even though they love Battlefield.

How am I going to afford all of those games coming out in Q4 is beyond me. I mean, BF3, ME3, TES:5, Arkham City and God knows what else I forgot. And soon The Witcher 2 and Duke Nukem Forever. JESUS CHRIST! Some of these games will have to be delayed. Too much competition.

I noticed the gameplay had changed slightly between the shorter versions and the longer version, but I didn't think it would actually be Bach playing it. Pretty awesome.

 

I liked when he said the map was a placeholder, effectively meaning that all the people who had tried to figure out where they are in the game had wasted their time.

Of course you can fly jets. What kind of non-Bad Company Battlefield game would it be without some crazy dogfights.

 

I remember the shock of going from prop-engine Zeros in 1942, to MiG/Sabre jets in Vietnam.

That was ages ago man. Shame you can't relive the experience of playing BF1942 and BF Vietnam for the first time (as alot of other games). I was so excited with Vietnam when I played it at the time. The tunes, atmosphere, weapons.... everything.

 

I sucked at jetfighters and planes in general though, I still do I bet. But still, it was awesome.
