Remembering the date

Recommended Posts

Surprisingly, I never had a problem with that this year. I do recall writing 2009 on my papers when 2010 started, but somehow I remember to write 2011 now. I do think it's also strange that I remember to write the date but I still think it's 2010 in my mind.

I still have a brain fart and write 1995 sometimes.

I hear ya on that one. When I settled on my house in '99 I wrote 1989 on all the paper work wow.gif

The whole wrong date thing isn't sooo bad since people stopped writing checks.

Yep, it takes me a few weeks to get used to writing the new year everywhere.

I have trouble every time I move up a school year, I sometimes still write Yr9 on books and stuff when I'm a Yr11 now. However this year the new dates didn't affect me, maybe because all of the time I was thinking "Don't write the wrong date you prick."

I sometimes forget when I'm writing it down. Then again, give it until were in summer and I'll get used to the fact I have to write 2011. Then come 2012 I'll be stopping myself from writing 2011 still.

'Nuff said. New years suck for that, I always write 2010 on mistake also because it's easier. 20.. 10.

This may sound strange, but...

I have some kind of obsession with the dates. I'm looking carefully at everything and look for differences from a year to another. 2010 was a sh*tty year for me, especially February.

Anyway, back on topic. The answer would be no - I don't confuse 2010 with 2011. turn.gif

I never write dates, but when I do, it takes a few days to get used too a new year

I read this in the Dos Equis commercial voice. That was fun.

Yeah I screwed up a couple times. Not the first time I wrote it... because I was thinking about it. But a little afterwards. Now I think I've got it down though.

Yeah I always have about a month where I do this. I remember doing it first in 1990 when I was in 1st grade. I was still writing 1989 on my paper, and my teacher had to show me what's up. I think it went pretty deep into February before she corrected me.

I used to write 2007 alot in 2008 even at the end of the year, and there was one day in 2009 where I wrote 2007. 2007 still sounds like a new year to me, and it seems futuristic. I'm still trying to process that it's 4 years later. Remember in like 2000 and 2001 when you see "2007" or "2009 and you think, wow that's a long way a way and it will never come. Let alone 2011 lol
