Why i think GTA V will be more realistic than IV

Recommended Posts

I Think Rockstar is trying to make it more of a story so they can possibly make a movie. i mean think about it if they made a movie about San Andreas with jetpacks and ridiculous weapons like a dildo who would take story as serious as GTA IVs just a random thought.

Flawed logic. There are a lot of movies that are "unrealistic", such as Harry Potter and just about any superhero flick.

I really think if rockstar wanted to get into the film buisness, they would have done so. Besides which, team bondi's upcoming L.A. Noire will be the movie like one. If anything, i'd say quantic dream wants to make movies what with heavy rain and indigo prophecy having Quick Time Events as your only interactions with the world.

1. What the hell does this have to do with GTA: V, given that, you know, the GTA GAMES are GAMES, not movies?

2. No.

3. I don't know, spectacle-only worked pretty well for Avatar.

Nah, I think they want to challenge films at what they do, and I think a lot of game developers are working the same way. I hope I live to see this kind of thing happen convincingly.

For one thing, I'm sick of seeing stinking turd like Avatar, Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles (yeah I know it's not out yet, but... you know) clogging up the cinemas while decent films are lucky to get a week at Picturehouse (and that's if you're lucky enough to live nearby to one of their cinemas). These sh*tty films would make great games though.

Games are now becoming more sophisticated, they are an art form with voice acting, writing and some brilliant stories.

Alot of games are becoming more story orintated because they can. R* mostly make games for adults, there games for the most part are mature. These games are fun, but if you don't like it then you will just have to play a diff game. Its the way some games are going now. Just like films you can watch the godfather or watch lethal weapon. I don't see people complain about the Godfather not being funny, so if gta is getting slithly more serious then not much any one can do about it.

Why not add, make, remake features "realistic" instead of taking away things and using the excuse of "realism" as a reason for doing so. (btw, I can point out many unrealistic things that occured in gta 4.)

Completely cut out the jetpack.(but honestly in gta sa it wasn't too far fetched given it was taken from area 51 equivalent, in place of aliens. Now CJ actually raiding the base was far fetched.)

Yes of course it is, but some people think just because there's no jetpacks and the graphics are better, the game is uber life simulation. If you compare gta 4 to vice city or better gta 3, it fits in line quite nicley with them.

As a fan boy of GTA many of you might like to know that there has been a GTA movie smile.gif However it was not made by R* since the actual film was made way before the company was founded, oh and one very last thing, this is the stupidist most idiotic excuse for realisim in a the next GTA

Exactly, but me and you both know that's not the case.

2. Saints Row is farrrrrrrrrrrr more unrealistic than GTA ever was and they are actually going to make a movie

OMFG. What a painful experience that would be. Not just for the inevitable poor acting, but being in a cinema with a bunch of wannabe gangsta douchebags.

CJ Inside A Vehicle: "Grove Street... Home... BEATING ON THEY @$$3$ WITH A PURPLE DILDO!!!"

*mid-shot camera reveals large tank firing backwards heading to the grove*

CJ leaves his house, punches the air, turns left 2 times and 1 time to the right, hops on one foot and a Harrier appears.

Yes, they are changing their games because they want to make a movie. I think you summed it all up when you said it's just a random thought.

Grand Theft Auto shouldn't be realistic. Yes you have nicer graphics than you had Six years ago (San Andreas). Does that mean the game must be realistic? Seems more like Rockstar Games is designing the GTA series into a full blown simulator. "GTA: The Sims Edition". I can just see it now.

As for the movie part. That is a weird idea. Though mostly doubtfully false. If Rockstar wanted to make a movie, they would of already. They have the cash & resources to do so. No one is stopping them.

... but if they would make a Movie, I would like to see a Live-Action Movie, not a movie movie.

Funny, because San Andreas seemed to be more of a "Sims Edition" than IV.
