San Andreas possible on 3 monitors?

Hi guys,

Searched far and wide for an answer to this question but I've had no luck...

Is it possible to run GTA San Andreas across 3 monitors (eyefinity)?

I can get GTA III working on 3 screens and using an FOV hack the game runs properly (i.e. without stretching). GTA III detects all available resolutions in game, but with San Andreas, I can only select single monitor resolutions.

Anyone know if it is possible?

Thanks,

Dave.

P.S. I'll ask the same question over in the Widescreen Gaming Forums and post any resolution I get here.

wow.gif Best I've been able to do is have the game on my primary monitor.

I sometimes post a map on the second one.

I can't think of any benefit of spreading the picture (as it is) across two monitors, let alone three).

My monitors are widescreen, and I already have an Oval Moon, with the widescreen settings. dozingoff.gif

There is a cam hack available for San Andreas that lets you change the FOV.

I have 3x24" monitors and I can run GTA III in a resolution of 5760x1200, WITHOUT strecthing. In other words the middle monitor looks exactly the same as it would I if I was just running 1 monitor. The left and right monitors just serve to extend your field of view.

This would be possible too with San Andreas, but I can't get the game to detect any available resolution other than a single monitor resolution.

Then it looks like you're in the wrong place.

It would be nice to have the Left View and Right View all at the same time, BUT

They would be better to aid your hunt. icon14.gif

It's easy enough to get two or theree monitors to work.

The problem here is to get the Left Monitor to work by displaying the equivelent of holding the Left View Keys all the time. And the same for the Right Monitor.

That would appear to require a modification of the Games Program to make the displays viable.

The currently as designed will only allow One View at a time on One Monitor.

How would I do this. So a live map on the second monitor for San Andreas. Thanks.

First put the Map or other document/web page on one monitor.

Then when the game is opened and the video card controller asks which Monitor to play the game on: Select the other, and it usually asks what resolution to use. After the proper selections are made the game play.

To interact with the other monitor you have to ALT-TAB to pause the game and gain access to the second monitor screen.

Not a 'live' map. A static one such as a 'Collection Map', as in the "San Andreas Mission Analyzer (SAMA).

I would like to see a Three Monitor game> Where the tunnel vision we have in all games would allow the two side monitors to give us peripheral vision. No need then for a 'top hat' switch. Maybe add a fourth monitor to display game data/facts/maps.
