Hi and happy new year(i was niot here for a long time)

I'm trying to edit GTA Liberty City map(Vice city, with GTA3 map)I was trying to delete some bulidings in MEd,and it's done, but after i back in the game i see this: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/145/20110127185046.png That was not happening for first time, but i deleted this long-distance textures(i've just load all IPL files, and find this stupid textures). But now i don't see this textures even if i load all files.I tried to load with Near иand Long Distance options but its the same. That's what i see in MEd: http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/4516/20110127184827.png there are no textures...but i see them ingame.

How to fix that?I use MEd 0.21b

The thing you are seeing ingame is the low quality far-distance model, (its not called a texture, textures are assigned to a 3d model)

As you can still see the LOD that means you didn't delete it in MEd.

If you want to make sure it is removed you could find it's ipl line and remove it from the file using notepad.

You'll need to figure out the model name of the original that you deleted. That's step one.

Next, replace the first three letters with "Lod"

insertbuilding

becomes

LODertbuilding

This is the name of the lod.

Now use the search function in notepad and find the correct entry.

It'll look like this or similar-

2390, LODertbuilding, 139.3562, -1596.42, 137.0719, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1

Now change the third number to negative 55.

2390, LODertbuilding, 139.3562, -1596.42, -55.0719, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1

The reason for this is that if you just delete the LOD, it makes the other ones glitchy for some reason, although this may depend on your graphics card. This'll sink it below the city and out of the way.

Also, LODs don't usually show up in MEd, for future reference.
