I usually go to MP. If you can't join a game or there's too many assholes online, then EFLC is my next stop.

Personally speaking, I love reading some of the crazy ramblings on Craplist and some of the weirdos on MyRoom. There's a guy who lives with a doll, some goth girl who wants to kill her parents, it's great. I just wish we ran into these people more often in the game. But I usually find the internet to be the thing that gives me the most replay value. Also, the Easter Egg topic is a great help. I like trying to find all the random things around Liberty City. I've still not seen the Banksy work that's supposed to be lurking around.

Those easter eggs keep me pretty busy.

towards the end, which means Gravelli and Pegorino missions I tend to lose my ambition to play it any longer...

and after I killed dimitri and pegorino I completely lose my fun...

I stop playing it and stay away from it weeks or months. then I remember the first Broker days and wanna play it over, different cars, clothes, etc.

MP is an alternative

Where Beachgate meets the shoreline, you'll find Banksy

Currently I'm searching for all the locations of the Northwood Dominican Drug Dealers in TBOGT, just completed Drug Wars so they're starting to appear. And for some reason I'm kept busier if I stay within the 1st half of the game. You're limited to Hove Beach area, and kind of keeps the same sense of wonder and magic, suspense. Also I practice my melee skills constantly. Counter attacks, kicking downed pedestrians, knifing cops without getting shot. And there's also tons to do in the subway. For instance. I left a Merit along the Easton subway tracks. The car blew up, and for some reason, is now permanently stained with blood. The subway trains keep knocking it back and forth, always within sight. Always a little bit more deformed. And it makes some interesting screeching noises I've never heard before.

And I'm trying to force myself to enjoy Alderney. Even if it's not going to happen. It's a whole island to explore, and that itself needs doing, no?

I got to this topic from the General Chat forum, so I'll answer for general GTA despite not having IV yet!

I like to cruise about and enjoy the views and atmosphere, shoot select NPCs as if I have a purpose and affect on the world, drive fast, pick up prostitutes, explore places I haven't concentrated on, make some crazy jumps, chainsaw corpses... but yea, if I'm really that bored, sleep is a good option tounge.gif

Finn 7 five 11

I usually go on MP when i am bored, or i try and kill myself in fun new ways, or i will follow people for a while then kill them (kinda pretending to be the serial killer they talk about on the radio) or go beat up hobos.

Not a lot else you can do, anything a bit more crazy gets cops on your ass.

1: Start shootouts.

2: Start police car chases.

3: Snipe people from rooftops.

4: Follow people and kill them silently ala AC2.

5: Buy the biggest gun you can and back up against a wall when the police come.

6: Vigilante missions.

7: Replay missions (BoGT)

8: Drug wars (BoGt) You get guns for this, too.

9: Free falling (BoGT) You get some sort of reward, I think.

10: Gang wars (TLaD) Same as drug wars in BoGT.

11: Make missions for yourself.

12: Explore the city.

13: Explore the subway. (Watch out for Ratman!) Ugh. I had to do that. sarcasm.gif

14: Freerun to the best of Niko/Luis/Johnny's ability.

15: Take friends out in a helicopter and jump out over water leaving said friend to their fate.

16: Go as long as you can acting like a normal person. This can be quite addictive; I did it for a week without firing a shot.

17: Drift around corners for as long as you can without crashing or accidentally J-turning.

18: Find inventive ways to die.

19: Find inventive ways to wreck your car.

20: Rob internet cafes and run away.

21: Start fights with shopkeepers or random peds.

22: Surf the in-game net.

23: Jump off the highest building you can find and try and land on someone.

24: Push people down steps.

25: Find Blue Hell.

26: Find God.

27: Get sick.

28: Get well.

29: Hang around an inkwell.

30: Ring bell.

And don't forget to watch for parking meters!

Note: The ones from 26 onwards were sarcasm.

@ Pedochu

It is very interesting to hear you talk about the subject of the Northwood Dominican Drug Dealers appearing in various locations around Liberty City in TBOGT. I too noticed that the Northwood Dominican gang members were appearing other parts of Liberty City in territories that belonged to rival gangs. This happens after you complete a number of Drug Wars. I have spotted them in Broker (around Beechwood and Schottler), South Bohan and I saw them a few times in Cerveza Heights in Dukes. Have you spotted them in other areas ? Tell me which areas where you have seen them in.

I'm glad you spoke about this, because I thought that I was the only one that noticed this, because I've not heard anyone on here mention it before.

@ Evereyone else on this thread

If you want more things to do in GTA IV when you are bored, check out my ways to create shoot-outs between gangs that do not invlove the police or yourself. Here is the link:

i just finished GTA 4 for the second time myself, ive never ever played a game with such a boring storyline and pathetic main character (except for TLAD which still lacks LOTS of things)

if you're bored with GTA4, do what i did, move back to San Andreas

...I do alot of the things that have already been mentioned, but 2 silly additional things I do....

-I dont know if GTA has an "AIDS Victim" achievement, but Im trying to set an insane record for prostitutes slept with. This is a continuing contest between Niko, Johny, and Luis. devil.gif

-I also get a kick out of getting people arrested. Start a fight with some random pedestrian. Make sure the cops are close by, but they didnt see you throw the first punch or punches. Run like a little b*tch directly towards the cops, and make sure angry pedestrian gives chase. Allow them to hit you in front of the police, and then watch them get in trouble.

...Corny...I know but Ive had some entertaining situations. Ive had thugs/bikers/mafiso that were armed, but faced me hand to hand and didnt pull out their weapon until confronted by the cops......Had a prostitute arrested, and she eventually went into her "sales pitch" dialog, and the cops let her out of the car about 2 blocks latter as if they took a sexual bribe...lol...etc

I like making the NPC characters fight, sort of along the lines to what you do. It sometimes gets them both arrested two, for double the fun. biggrin.gif I keep running into one, until they fight back (for that gains no police notoriety) and then when they chase me I jump on a taxi, and when they punch the cab the driver gets out and fights the guy, and sometimes even the passenger joins in. Sometimes I even take it to the extent of acting like it's a fight club, and this one guys beat about 5 taxi drivers, 3 pedestrian, and 4 M.O.B. members, now that's a hard-ass mothaf*cka right there.
