What game was this?

Hey people, about 10 years ago, I remember playing this demo of this PS1 game. It's topdown view, and you go around an area/grid shooting people. I'm pretty sure it was 2D, but I remember there being a ton of people running around on screen at once, and you can kill them all. Sorry for the brief description, that's all I remember..

 

There was also another game for the PS1, you were this ball, and you go around the map trying to collect things I think? Maybe you're trying to get to the end, I can't remember. I think you could be more than one ball, but you had control over what direction it went etc, 3D. Again, apologies for being brief.

Sorry for the double post, I found the ball game. It was called Kula World.

Just had a look, nah none of them man. Sorry.

 

I think the game was quite quick paced, topdown view, tons of people running around. you had to walk around and shoot them all, think you could only go in four directions.

Katamari Damacy fits the mold of your second description, despite the fact that it was a PS2 release.

 

I have no idea about the first one, though. Good luck
