Need a free 3D animation software!

Recommended Posts

Hi. I need to find a FREE 3D animation software, similar to 3DS Max. I have tried Blender, but it can't support .dff files, which I want to mod. Also, the reason I'm not using 3DS Max is because I'm running Windows 64-bit, not 32-bit, so my computer can't run the program sad.gif.

Oh, and I know that there is a plug-in for Blender, but I just can't figure out how to install it!

The 3D software must be free and be able to edit and export .dff files.

Thanks, Ritchie.

I know of two such programs. Zmodeler 1 has a .dff filter but I'm not sure if it supports GTA San Andreas.

Download link on this page

http://www.zmodeler2.com/?mode=downloads

Then there's gmax available here

http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

To add dff import/export functionality to gmax use Kam's gmax scripts available on this forum.

These programs were also designed for 32 bit versions of windows though so I hope they work on your OS.

Hi, I've just downloaded ZModeler, but when I click on the .exe, after a few seconds of loading, a dialog box comes up, saying that 'ZModeler has stopped working'.

Any advice?

EDIT- Ahhh. Just got it to work smile.gif I just needed to extract it to a folder. Thanks.
