The realism is strong in this one.

It's pathetic... it really is.

 

They go from such a fun and enjoyable game to a complete piece of sh*t. Oh, and to top it off - they kill off the only decent remaining character in the SECOND mission, because let's just face it, Shuandi was a complete bitch in SR3 and Percy... well who give's a f*ck about Percy... ()? But wait - here's the good part... they bring him back in the "last" (more cheat code DLC, Volition? Because that was a great move... ) DLC as f*cking Hulk.

 

 

I'd like a refund of my season pass.

Having read more about these DLC's, I've come to the conclusion that Volition is worse than EA when it comes to greed.

Bullsh*t, they're just waiting a week or two, so they can release an 'Overpowered Weapons Pack' and milk another $10 from their loyal fans.

 

I was thinking about getting all the DLC for this game, but after hearing how short they are, I don't really feel like giving them any more of my money.

That wont happen mate.. Volition already confirmed (google it) Saints Row 4 will be more "dumber", "crazy" and over the top than Saints row: the turd, a stupid way to ruin a good franchise if you asked me

I haven't played it, but 1 & 2 had some great potential. as much as I grief SR fans it sucks that Volition doesn't have the vision to make the franchise the best it could be. More content and more customization, I mean.

^^^Totally. This game had potential, but I don't know where it went wrong. Maybe the staff that worked on it had something to do with it (apparently, only 20% of the people who worked on the first two were a part of The Third, and the rest were directionless and not very confident about the project when they had the original secret agent idea. Go figure, it seems like they still are), or maybe THQ making the decisions for them, or both.

 

Man, I had a feeling that we wouldn't be able to keep the superpowers from "Trouble With Clones." They were awesome for the 10 minutes we had them They had to know that people would be pissed with all of these decisions, whether it has to do with technical issues or not.

This is how their doing the '40 Weeks of DLC' They give you a taste of something, and then take it away. In order to have more, you have to pay them more.

 

I'm all for DLC, but the way THQ/Volition are going about it, is just wrong. They're basically robbing us.

 

There better be a SR:TT Complete Edition after all of this, I'll buy that, (when the price drops below $30)

So yeah, all other DLCs I bought installed themselves and played normally. They showed up as intended.

 

But now I just bought and downloaded Trouble with Clones. When I start the game, there is no sign of it. No screen showing up that I unlocked it.

 

When I go to my storage now, I have SR3 listed twice, as if the DLC was for a seperate game. Why? When I get on the ''second'' SR3, it only has the DLC in it. What now?

There's a bunch of new DLCs coming.

 

Before someone starts to complain about locked on-disc content, half part of those DLCs came in the latest patch.

Yes, I know there are some DLC already on disc, but there's a reason for it: co-op crashes, since both players must have the same files to avoid crashes.

Sadly it was the best workaround Volition found to avoid those 'patch not recognized' crashes that happened on SR2. I noticed that the SRTT engine has some features which are just a polished version from SR2 like co-op system and model preloading.

Happily it's possible to unlock some DLCs for free through code editing or exe hacking.

 

Anyway, SRTT still looks too fancy and weird to me.

Wow, a ninja outfit. That sh*t was available in Saints Row 2. They basically stripped this game of everything people loved about Saints Row and are now selling it as DLC. C*nts.

Alright - this will be my last rage about this game. I feel that I should honestly express how much we got f*cking raped this time around.

 

Let me start with the story. This was by far one of the worst stories I've ever played. In the first mission we find ourselves robbing a bank... now, let me pause here. Why the f*ck are we robbing the bank when we own Ultor and thats basically advertise to sh*t in Stilwater and we're also rich as f*ck as seen when the protagonist goes to the ATM when they first land in Steelport and he has over two million dollars in HIS money! Not to mention that Shuandi is the complete opposite of what her personality is and Pierce looks like hes about to go play f*cking golf. I will admit that Gat looked pretty badass, but no - the character whos made out to be the most tough dies on a f*cking plane... they pulled a Cole Phelps on that one. Second - THE MAIN ANTAGONIST OF THE GAME DIES WITHIN THE FIRST ACT. Why make him also out to be such a badass guy when you're also going to kill him off in the beginning of the damn game? I mean, killing him is one thing, BUT GAT? Why would you kill off the only decent remaining character other than you? I mean, Pierce is still pretty much the same, but Shuandi? I know I keep saying the same things but I'm just trying to figure out where this all went wrong... Third of all - all of the missions were practically f*cking mini games - so taking away the respect factor from what it used to be didn't really make a difference considering we're going to be doing the same sh*t anyways. So after this, they introduce some sort of anti-gang program called "S.T.A.G." who doesn't even appear until half way through the damn game. So, once they're introduced, you see JOSH BIRK doing a commercial for them... I get why they did that, but you'd think that the guy would give in to everything while taking the job - if you understand what I mean. So, lets just skip the end because everything in between that doesn't matter because its pretty much just mini games. So, at the very end you have to choose between either letting Shuandi die or to stop Killbane from skipping town. So, I immediately went after Killbane considering they completely ruined Shuandi... and thats the basically the story.

 

Now on to the DLC:

 

Complete sh*t. I actually was bored playing pretty much all of it. I honestly believe that ALL OF THE DLC was planned to be in the original game, because it sure feels like it. I do however like the end of the "Trouble With Clones" DLC because it kind of points to the fact that that "leaked" "Back To Stilwater" DLC was real and is coming... so that kind of excites me. And the fact that they didn't let us keep the superpowers made me want to punch a kitten... why introduce an AWESOME FEATURE to just take it away?

Bottom line: The game has a terrible plot, little to no features and has the replay factor of a retarded cat. I must say that the driving physics and overall animations were a big improvement, though. The audio f*cking sucks, also. You could be skydiving and hear a scooter...

 

I recommend just skipping this game when Saints Row: 4 comes out. Nothing even happened that could be relevant to SR4, in my opinion.

I've not even played this but I'm starting to hope they paste over SRTT in SR4 with a massive LSD trip and starts with the protag in a come down. and allow us to take as many drugs as possible. atleast they can justify this mess as a messy acid trip.

I wanted to check some of the DLC details, I really would like some better guns, but I highly doubt they will ever include another conventional weapon, let alone one I would like.

 

 

As for the next game, I think the main problem is choice, SR3 has all the stupid sh*te, but it didnt have any of the extra enviroment and features that SR2 had. I dont care if they want to make a stupid over the top game, but at least give me some choice and possibly have the game enviroment as nice and varied as it was in SR2.

 

No doubt they will probably recycle steelport again for the next game instead of creating new, like they did with 1-2.

In my eyes, the bottom line is Saints row games should be YOUR playground, a world that you 100% have control over and can change anything about it as you see fit.

 

If anything, it should be more like Sim City.

 

 

I just want a playground in which I can play with my toys and mess around with the physics and the game AI and design with a friend.

 

I hate it when 'free play' style gameplay gets always f*cked over by what the dev's think are cool.

 

I dont want to be told what I should do or what is cool, I just want all the ingredients shoved in, then if I want to do something I will figure it out on my own and do it.
