Saw this on Blue's News and thought I would pass it along:

SR3 Autumn 2011 Release

I enjoyed SR2 on the PC even though it was horridly ported (performance was terrible).  I did like the crazy/zany missions of SR2 more than I liked the GTA IV missions.  It would be interesting to see what R* does now that SR3 has been given a tentative release season.  Hopefully, this will push R* into revealing what they have for GTA V.

YEAAAH biggrin.gif ! Saints Row 3 has been announced, awesome news ! What's even better, it's coming for PC as well cool.gif !

This will keep me occupied for a bit, until GTA V or Mafia III arrives; I have about 120 hours of playtime on SR2 according to Steam smile.gif ...

The only news we got on sr3 is that developers said they are going to take the game in a totally different way, no more gangstas.

Really? Cool. That's what kind of put me off the game. I love the gangstas in San Andreas but because that was a classic era for gangstas. Now it's sort of obnoxious where it appeals to 15y.o kids buying commercial gangsta clothing and music. Very far from Grove St days.

I hope they make the game visually more realistic and less clowny but keep some of the fun.

Gantons Most Wanted

Theres a release date already? yet no trailers or any in-depth information. I also like how at E3 they were saying we'd be show casing the game at the Spike TV VGA's but that never happened.

Yes, reason why I will never play Saints Row 1 and 2 again. I gave them a shot over at a friend's place and I absolutely hated the games. Not only are the controlls jiffy, the car driving totally not interesting... the over the top lame commercialised 'gangsta' theme was just boring as hell.

I really enjoyed Saints row 2, I loved the fact that it was so unrealistic, but also the game play I mean it had so much that IV didn’t and I did like that because whilst IV took the subtle realistic approach saints row 2 completely forgot about that and focused it just on the game play and the story wasn’t bad. The character customisations were also awesome and customisation if clothes as well was also fab.

However that said I would like to see a few more realistic physics applied to saints row 3, like people falling from sky scrapers and out of helicopters and God! Better improved car physics thank you very much!

If it isn't the worst abortion of a port ever (like SR2) I may get it.

Very low down on the 'Want' list though.

Well, if it has similar graphics to what Grand Theft Auto IV had along with all the insane gameplay, i simply cannot wait!

I personally can't wait to see ingame screens. If graphics are like IV and the vehicles handling doesn't suck, that would be great.

Is that official? It says PC, it says PC, it says PC!

It's been known for a long time.

Waiting for this game despite the fact that I haven't played SR1 and barely could play a few missions in SR2.

I didn't know. I thought it was just a rumor but it's good to know that it's official. And since PC version is supposed to be released at the same time as console versions a part of me hopes it wont be a sh*tty port.

Screens right there still give me the vibe of a ''gangster'' theme, but leaning towards the mafia type style if anything. Either way I'm liking the way its turning out with the logo so far. Its still high on my list thats for sure.

Damn, if the game is as great as the artwork, it will make competition against GTA.

Why does everyone hate SR2 ? I played both games and enjoyed them alot.

PlayTry to play it on PC and you'll find out. Also some people may not like 2001 graphics.

Actually, I like SR2 and still play it sometimes. The graphics aren't the best but the game is overall very enjoyable.

OT: The artwork shows that the Saints turned way more mafia than just some street gangsters. And we see an airplane so at least it's sure we get a new city!
